Tyson was on the bench by himself in Winge's video. I didn't see Pickett, Hall, or Jones but I may have missed them, Winge's video was shot vertically and from far away.

"The defense was not where it's supposed to be. We couldn't make shots. So we played really bad and poorly the whole preseason. So hopefully we can do something a little bit better when the (regular) season comes." - Jokic on the Nugs preseason

Then again, it didn’t help with Zapruder film. Though I still think Oswald acted alone.

Looks like Trey wasn't in the scrimmage either, just watching from the sidelines and jawing with the guys.
So the scrimmage was 6 on 6, with the main 12 guys only. Trey, Tyson, Pickett, Hall, and Jones spectators.
Funny that our scrimmages have to be Jokic and 5 bench guys vs 4 starters and 2 bench guys to be close to even.

Looks like AG took less money after all. Massive KSE win on this one by getting AG to opt-in to his $22.8 mil deal next year instead of grabbing $35 mil in free agency.

That's an awesome deal.
Ecstatic with this. You can tell AG loves the city of Denver and playing with the Jokic and this deal reflects that.

That puts us 7M under the second apron next season with our current roster and two open spots (Vlatko and DJ are free agents at the end of the year), assuming Russ and Saric both opt in.
If they could somehow clear the Zeke, Tyson, and Pickett contracts without taking on extra salary they'd have about 19.62M under the 2nd apron next year.

AG is awesome. I'm happy. It's a lot of money but that core 4 proved it can win a Championship. Need a big time jump from Strawther/Watson

AG is awesome. I'm happy. It's a lot of money but that core 4 proved it can win a Championship. Need a big time jump from Strawther/Watson And Russ has to deliver. He was atrocious in the playoffs last year in 19 MPG: 6.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.5 blocks, 1.8 fouls, 1.7 turnovers on 26.0% FG, 27.3% 3PT, 61.5% FT

Wait so AG didn’t get the max? I read that he did Well, he wasn't eligible for a true max deal...nor did he get the full extension amount...so that is a "No" to him getting the max.

AG was eligible to opt out and extend for more money the first year + 3 more years at similar amounts to what he extended for. Instead he opted in, so he makes about $23m instead of $32m for the first extension year (25-26), and the remaining years are pretty similar either way (about 35/37/39 for the next 3 years.) Gives the team a little more short-term flexibility. Makes it easier to make a small or medium roster move if we think there's a championship move to be made during either of the next 2 seasons or the next offseason.

AG chose loyalty and winning over the (bigger) bag. retire his jersey. He also chose earlier financial security over delaying it for a bigger bag and risking a career-altering injury destroying his earnings potential later. The $9 million or so he sacrificed next season could be viewed as an insurance premium against a devastating injury ruining his career. He’s durable, but injuries happen, so taking the sure thing now makes sense over gambling for even more money that may disappear if he tears an ACL. He does strike me as loyal and loves playing with Jokic. But let’s not fool ourselves, this is just as much a financial decision with a view of risk and reward as the decision to opt out and enter free agency would have been. I think he chose correctly.

yes, I'm being hyperbolic because I was fully prepared for him to opt out and a flyover eastern conference team handing him a 4/212 like what PG got.

Makes it easier to make a small or medium roster move if we think there's a championship move to be made during either of the next 2 seasons or the next offseason. To be exact per Spotrac AG gave up a little over $17 million by opting-in and then extending vs opting out and extending. Minus bonus money here is what the AG deal looks like... Year 1 = $22.8 mil (opt-in) Year 2 = $31.9 mil (year 1 extension) Year 3 = $34.5 mil (year 2 extension) Year 4 = $37.3 mil (player option) Not that it matters but this is what he could have gotten via opt-out and then extension (minus bonus money) Year 1 = $31.9 mil Year 2 = $34.5 mil Year 3 = $37.3 mil Year 4 = $40.3 mil (player option) KSE just got a huge win by convincing AG to give up ~$17.4 mil

In terms of actual cash savings, AG opting in will save ol' Stan about 60 million dollars in tax penalties. I'm sure he's ready to open mouth kiss Gordon.
