Every summer there seems to be a guy or two that gets left standing in the game of musical chairs. I imagine Jones and GJT probably could've signed at least MLE type of deals somewhere, but it does make sense to pick situations that are most optimal for showing out and trying again next summer. Jones being able to go be the starting PG in Phoenix next to Beal/Booker/Durant/Nurkic is a great opportunity for him. Better than making the MLE to be a backup somewhere else (ditto for GJT).

That's an insanely good deal for the Suns. They keep finding a way to add valuable pieces. Westbrook needs to have a great season otherwise those min deals to GTJ and Jones should spell the end of Booth. I just do not get how we are dead last in free agency every year We miss out unless we massively overpay and give our plater options

Did you forget about Bruce Brown?
As expected, he got many better financial offers. But the guarantee of getting to boost his own value playing 35 mpg in a high powered offense was enough to convince him to take less for the chance to leave for more next summer.

Suns added Tyus Jones on a 1 year minimum. They needed point guard help so they went out and got Monte Morris, Tyus Jones, and Collin Gillespie. That’s good work by the Suns. Impressive. Honestly this signing may have pushed us down to a 5th seed.

I dont think Rock or Fami rooting for Tyson to be cut because it would make Tyson feel bad. But because it would give us an extra roster spot Exactly this Of course I’d like Tyson to become a great player. But I also want the nuggets to win lots of games. If we can release Tyson and pick-up say, a Lonnie walker, we are undoubtedly a better team this year Thinking more about it. Its kinda sick behaviour to project these horrible values (as rooting against your own players is) onto people just because you feel superior to them.

My wish list before October 2024:
1.Waive Jalen Pickett, sign a shooting guard (Lonnie Walker) <--- high priority
2.Waive Hunter Tyson, sign a backup center (Omer Yurtseven) <--- high priority
3.Waive/Trade Zeke Nnaji, use this open roster spot in February 2025 for a buyout candidate <--- high priority
4.Trade Jamal Murray
5.Trade Michael Porter Jr
6.Fire Calvin Booth <--- high priority # 1

Surprised this clown didn’t add “7. Trade Jokic.”

I noticed it's the bandwagon Nugget fans that are the most fervent in their desire to trade Jamal. I guess some of us appreciate Jamal making the Denver Nuggets champions more than others.

We needed shooting and grabbed Russell westbrick off the trash heap and called it a summer.

I’d pretty shocked and pleased if we somehow ended up 5th I wouldn't call us a strong candidate for top 3 seeds, but I would not be surprised to see us there at the end of the season. Each season at least 1 or 2 teams from the projected playoff locks underperform, mostly due to injuries. If our workhorse continues to be remarkably durable, we'll always be up there lurking.

You'd need to attach a 1st to make that work.
Okoro is the prototypical two-way player that you'd dream of to play alongside Jokic.

Id have him in the 9-14 range. Not sure that's a max money guy imo. Though also not sure you can get someone better.

Nba rules are stupid
Either we max jamal or lose him for nothing we zero ways of replacing him. They force teams to make a bad decision.
