Ok, they still started Conley/NAW/Edwards on the perimeter so Gobert wasn't being asked to cover for Donovan Mitchell and Bogie type players like in Utah.
ironically enough, the one game the Nuggets lost, Jokic just utterly annihilated Rudy and scored 43 on 26 shots. I miss that Joker

I miss that Joker Definitely not but again his numbers weren't THAT bad if you just take away Game 1. Jokic is also the only guy besides Embiid capable of making Rudy look bad. And Rudy is still the best Jokic defender in basketball IMO Me and you both regarding Joker. I'd really love to know what happened to Jokic. From minute 1 of this run he just seemed like a sad puppy. Just so weird because he seemed so happy at the parade. You'd think he'd want to experience that again.

Denver’s efficiency fell off a cliff when Jokic had to rest. Their 104.1 offensive rating with him on the bench would’ve ranked dead last in the NBA this season (Memphis was 30th at 106.8), along with their 53.5% true shooting percentage.
If we're doing offseason talk already, this is what I think has to change. We need more guys that can put the ball in the basket.

Makes the contrast between Jokic lineups and non-Jokic lineups all the more stark. That said, we should never yawn or become blasé when a Denver Nugget wins the MVP award. This is very rare, and Jokic is the rarest of rare.

Or he's just saying winning MVP isn't important to him and winning championships is. All the people who act like he don't care about winning are crazy.

Jokic: "rather win the championship"
DNT: "omg he's given up!"
Never change, DNT, never change.

The playoffs mean so much more to me than awards

It's entirely possible you never see a better Denver Nugget in your lifetime. I think that's what makes this run so frustrating for me. It's not going to last forever. I have different expectations for the 3x MVP. We should be blasting everyone else for letting him down and he shouldn't be playing in a way that makes him a part of the problem. I'm pretty close to giving up on this run. I do have a slight amount of hope tho. This team loves being the underdog rather than the team expected to win. It's better in the long run we lost how we did in game 2 rather than losing by 5. They got embarrassed. As much as it was annoying watching the Lakers/game 1 vs Minny/Spurs game etc. I doubt it has the same affect as game 2 does in the lockerroom. Not confident by any means but if the Nuggets are going to show up .. it's going to be game 3. You win that and you put alot of pressure on Minny for game 4 and it becomes a series. Feels impossible but not going to count out Jokic and to a much lesser extent a hobbled Murray/Malone/Gordon/KCP/MPJ etc.
