Add me to the "not giving up" column!
I remember in 1998 - Avs vs Red Wings - 2nd round.
Detroit walked into Big Mac and f***ing smoked us those first two games. We went to Detroit, got a gritty win in game 3, and proceeded to win the next 3 (reverse gentleman's sweep).
Reason to be optimstic:
1. Minny is challenging us to take contact. If our guys just bait, and take contact, we'll go to the free throw line so much, it'll throw Minny off their game.
2. Jamal has gotten a long break.
3. BIGGEST ONE - Anthony Edwards just insulted Jamal Murray. How f***ing stupid is he? Murray is a good guy - but he's motivated by pure anger. Don't make him angry (Landry Fields found this out the hard way in Game 5 last year).
I'll be wearing my powder blue proudly on Friday!

Remaining optimistic because we have the best player in the world who’s just won his 3rd MVP. Tough assignment but it’s been done before. Malone and co need to adjust and make changes and Fkn show our championship pedigree.

I just refuse to believe the champion Nuggets and now 3x MVP are going to go out like this.
Obviously game 3 is must win. But that's all it takes. Get this to 3-2 and can the Wolves close it out on home court with all that pressure?
It's entirely illogical to think the Nuggets can win from there. But that's the beauty of smart.
I've seen far far crazier things happen in sport.

Jokic officially getting his third MVP... he has to show why in this game. this series is his legacy. if he goes out without fight, he will be remembered as great player, one of best in early 2020s. maybe even all decade. but if he shows up, and starts playing like he did in last year playoff, he will go down in history as all time great, and not one of best but THE best player in early 2020s. its just like LeBron. I do believe he is best player ever, better then Jordan. his peak from 2011. to 2018. was crazy. his longevity is unheard of. but his legacy is not 2007. when he single handed brought worst team ever to NBA finals, nor it will be 2016. when he turn around 1-3 against 73 win team and current champions. his legacy, when compared to Jordan, will always be 2011 finals. this is when he lost GOAT battle and nothing he did in rest of his career will overturn it. so same will be with Joker. regardless of results and whether or not Jamal shows up, he needs to put his stamp and soundly outplay Gobert, KAT and Ried all together. and if others lay an egg, you say fine, he did his part, Wolves were just better team.

oh shut up- something is not clicking for the dude - and nt is not only place too say this- season is over I think so too but we'll see. If Game 3 he doesn't show up then that is concerning long term. Leader of the team, best player in the world, highest paid, etc. Have to play with fire when the going gets tough. He's done it before. This is the first time we've seen this kind of Jokic since Games 2/3 in Utah bubble. If they win Game 3 (.1% chance IMO) they do have a shot at the series which seems insane right now. Will take Jokic being historically great 4 times. Is he up for that? IMO no.

I've seen far far crazier things happen in sport. Murray is the heart of the team and is dead. They're most likely going to go out like this. Murray has been playing hard, he just can't play at an NBA level. AG has been playing hard, just not skilled enough. MPJ always plays hard, as does KCP. Jokic is the only guy that hasn't been playing hard and him not playing hard isn't the difference in either of these games. Minnesota is more talented, has more depth and is healthier. Calvin swung and missed on the roster construction.

never forget Edward's coming out party was actually last year but nobody cared because we comfortably put him and Mr 4xDPOY to bed in 5 games. it was nice to have a healthy team then. The Wolves were also missing McDaniels/Reid though. If both were healthy that series was probably going 7. Nuggets missing Bruces ball handling is such a bummer this year Injuries only matter to JB when its on the nuggets 😅

Denver’s efficiency fell off a cliff when Jokic had to rest. Their 104.1 offensive rating with him on the bench would’ve ranked dead last in the NBA this season (Memphis was 30th at 106.8), along with their 53.5% true shooting percentage. If we're doing offseason talk already, this is what I think has to change. We need more guys that can put the ball in the basket. SHOCKING

I'm not giving up because giving up is no fun. It's possible we'll get whooped next game. Possible we'll get a W and the pressure will shift. Possible the team will go into the summer and get more rest this offseason than last, maybe draft one more good piece, and come back stronger next year. Possible we'll see a championship mentality where the team comes back and crushes Minnesota. IDK. Possibility makes for fun; dooming just makes for doom.

Nuggets missing Bruces ball handling is such a bummer this year Injuries only matter to JB when its on the nuggets 😅 injuries only change the outcome of a series when it's a top 2 player on your team (like Jamal Murray) and not an ancillary piece. for example, if KCP and Bruce were hurt last season, I still believe the Nuggets would have won in perhaps 6 games instead of 5.

I will say this only once after i watched Jamal's latest interview. If you dont want that cocky, arrogant, spoiled brat traded on the 1st July you are not only not a Denver Nuggets fan, you are not a Basketball fan. Cancer.

your idols brother was out here pummelling fans with absolute no regard for his infant niece who he put at risk with his thuggish behaviour, but you think throwing a heatpad and not saying sorry is a bridge too far.
settle down.

Not sure there was much he could have said without people going after him. With that stated, can't imagine KSE is real happy with Jamal both from the throwing event and his poor reaction to questions. I wouldn't be surprised if that extension Jamal's hoping for is delayed or possibly revised to include some games played and conduct requirements.

I have not seen, only heard, but Jamal has permanenly damaged his reputation. Lots of good behavior as well as good basketball needed to gradually rid him of the stench.
