we need to win not only this game, but this series. the amount of hate and disrespect Stephen A and fat Perk have for Nuggets?! omg. I dont watch shitty sport shows, but for some reason Stephen A, Wilburn and fat Perk jump on my screen, and man o man, those rats cant wait to see Nuggets out. so cmon buys, win this s**t, let 'em suffer! Perkins is a moron. Zero respect for him. SAS I tolerate. I get his act and role.

Stephan A is show producer, and I get he needs to worry about ratings, but Perk accusing Jokic for racism, it happened in a show with Stephen A. so he KNEW what Perk is going to say. he probably gave him material. but he is famous for saying you dont bet against Curry, he is champion. Suns will beat Nuggets cause no one can't stop Durant and Booker. he is still claiming Embiid is better Jokic. and now, no one can stop Ant. I guess Nuggets aren't champions and Minnesota is... also, after Embiid's injury, his first reaction was Tatum is MVP. and I think he ended up voting for SGA. I want to see him crying!

I think Malone should experiment in game 2 and start Watson in place of KCP at shooting guard. Watson is 6'7" and his length could bother Edwards This is what I’ve said from the start. PWat had 5 mins last game - that was a big reason why we lost. When Utah pulled ahead 3-1, Malone finally put Grant into the starting lineup for defense, and Utah was toast. PWat needs to be in there to stop edwards - and I hope this adjustment happens before minny goes up 3-1. Anthony Edwards stopper beginning tonight and for the future. Watson is 21 and Edwards is 22 Watson = Bruce Bowen (Spurs) / OG Anunoby Lets go!

Edwards have like 15 kgs over PWat. PWat is lighter then KCP, and thats the only reason KCP cant guard Edwards. guy is a tank with insane athleticism. he is like Charles Barkley who learned how to play guard. CB and AG are the only ones who can withstand him. but CB cant contain pullups and AG cant fight through screens. this is why Malone said, Edwards will get his, but we can't have Conley, Reid and KAT scoring without any contain.
and this is what Nuggets need to do... remember how Nuggets lose every time Jokic goes over 40? let Edwards cook, but kill everyone else. if we want to have any chance of winning this, its going to have to be defense and ton of running. every time they miss, Nuggets have to run, because in transition Gobert will have to pick up Jokic, and then Nuggets offense can work and in same there will be no transition for Wolves. also, Jokic needs to show why he is best player in the world. 32 points and 8 rebounds are not going to cut it. he needs to go nuclear, 38 points, 13 rebounds.
also Jamal needs to understand this is not his series, and facilitate. he needs to control the tempo, play more like true point guard, and find shots for MPJ. our offense is stagnant, well f it, we have 7ft cannon, use it.

You can't completely shut down Edwards ...he is not going to score 0 points tonight. Just limit him.
Only PWat has the length and athleticism to properly guard Edwards.
Justin Holiday should not be given any minutes tonight, instead I would like to see Zeke/DeAndre minutes against Naz Reid. Aaron Gordon at backup center makes no sense against Minnesota.
My bench rotation: Reggie (5-10 minutes), KCP (20 minutes), Braun (10), Zeke/DeAndre (5 minutes)
28 minutes of PWat on Edwards

Gobert listed as questionable because of personal reasons tonight.

Gobert listed as questionable because of personal reasons tonight. Him and his wife are expecting a child so thankfully it's not a bad reason.

To be clear though, absolute best case scenario is Rudy doesn't play and the Nuggets win. This allows them to deploy their adjustments in Game 3 instead of Game 2. If Rudy is out you're basically just guarding pick and pop scenarios and KAT/Reid are nowhere near the screeners that Rudy is, so it should be easier for our guards to get over.
I do expect him to play though. We'll know by 6 PM.

I'd prefer Rudy play tbh. we need to figure out a counter now. last thing we need is a false sense of confidence heading into the Twin Cities.

The Nuggets don't really have a counter for Gobert, that's the problem. You have to play MPJ at the 4 but that means you're sitting AG which Malone isn't going to do for large stretches. The only option you can replace him with that doesn't kill the spacing is Holiday. The issue that the Nuggets have is that 3 of their best defenders all can't shoot (CB, PW, AG). It absolutely kills your spacing and you simply can't just swap one of them out for the other because none of them can shoot or are even a threat to score. It's the biggest issue that Calvin didn't fix with this team. Bruce was perfect for this team because he could defend, he could space and he also could attack.

Guy is the most likable athlete on the planet right now. Plays a beautiful game, is clutch as f**k, talks s**t (to an extent) yet always backs it up. The exact kind of alpha that you want leading your team, yet he's still somehow humble at the same time. And the kid is 22. Legit one of my favorite athletes in the world right now. No idea how you could dislike him. His game really is Jordan-esque though. The footwork, strength and athleticism he has is nuts. AND AGAIN HE'S 22!

hard to be angry if Minny is just the better/healthier team. Lose tonight and I’d just tip my cap to them and see it for what it is. If the nuggets have another gear, tonight is the night for it.

as I said earlier, the first 6 minutes of this game will determine the rest of this series.
if we're down double digits, we're just going to have to accept we're fighting against the current at that point and make peace with the inevitable.
