I don't see why they'd go to Zeke instead of going back to DJ in an emergency as we did briefly both last playoffs and last series against the Lakers. I think DJ is your 10th man, Strawther 11th, Zeke 12th, Pickett 13th, Tyson 14th. DJ can't guard KAT or Reid. Zeke needs to get those minutes because he's much more comfortable on the perimeter which is where both KAT and Reid (especially Reid) are most comfortable. DJ is a drop center. Can't play that against those guys. Key factor in this series is both Jokic/AG getting KAT into foul trouble. Jokic has to be in attack mode this entire series. |

I am not scared of Minny. Kat can't guard Jokic. Gober can't guard Jokic. If they start doubling than the other guys will have to make shots. We shot poorly so far but we're not that bad shooters so the shots will start falling eventually. Beating Suns in 4 could also be a trap fir Minny I think if the Wolves opponent was anyone but Denver they'd come out a little flat/less intensity but since it's the Nuggets they won't. They aren't coming into this series arrogant. They're in kill mode. I am worried about other guys hitting shots though. Realistically MPJ was the only one we could trust last series. Murray, KCP, AG, CB, Watson, Reggie. You basically have 3 guys who you can't trust at all to make a 3, and then 3 guys who are inconsistent/streaky. It's scary. |

I think we'll learn a lot about this series in the first half of this game. If we see the same sleepwalk/brick show as we saw early in games last series...I think we'll know that the Nugs weren't just bored with the Lakers.

Edwards has been great in the playoffs so far this season but I admittedly have not seen those games. I have noticed that 40% of his shot attempts in the first round were threes, and watching him play this season he increasingly is trying to be a PG — dribbling on the perimeter, distributing the ball, pulling up for jump shots — so I’m not convinced that Edwards is really playing bully ball as much as people think. The TWolves play at a slow pace so that also lessens his ability to use his athleticism. KCP and Murray both spent a lot of time guarding Lebron last series. If they can guard Lebron, they should be able to guard Edwards. If Edwards is now better than Lebron, the TWolves will win it all. It seems to me that it’s still the case that in 80-90% of playoff series, the team with the best player wins. |

I think this series is going to come down to rebounds. Nuggets have to clean up the defensive rebounds. I went back to watch the Wolves and the Suns and the Suns initial defense was pretty good but they were absolutely destroyed on the boards and second chance points. I think the Lakers are a tougher matchup for our defense than the Wolves (the AD and Bron PnR was almost impossible for the team to defend consistently)but the Wolves defense is way better than LA's. Guys have hit open shots and limit the turnovers to keep this game in the half court because outside of Ant and Conley, the Wolves don't have a lot of shot creators which is why they want to get out in transition.

I would just like it to stop. I (and a lot of other quality posters) used to come here and talk basketball. Then a lot of them left because we allowed shitfucks like fami to come here and talk with the big guys. I tried to ignore it and posted good basketball stuff at times but then quickly realized it’s not worth it because there’s only a handful of guys on here that actually know basketball. The rest is guys who never touched a basketball in their lives and bring casual takes that they’ve gotten from Twitter and Facebook so they think it’s common and the only right way/answer. |
