Go look at Jokic stats last year in playoffs vs. Wolves. If anyone thinks Jokic is going to put up super efficient games vs. Wolves considering how the wolves are constructed is fooling themselves. In 6 playoffs games Jokic has been under 50% FG 1 time. Murray has only been over 45% 1 time. That's the issue. Can Jokic play better? Yes. Can he play more aggressive? Probably. But end of the day if Murray isn't more efficient going forward it don't matter. On top of that Murray defense has been downright awful! Just my 2 cents. Jokic was worse on both ends last night. Go rewatch the game. I originally thought this as well until rewatch. His defense in the 1H was fantastic but in the 2H it was God awful which is probably a big reason why they went from 40 in the 1H to 66 in the 2H. Also, Jokic has to take the blame. If he's not the best player on the floor, the Nuggets aren't going to win. ANT was the best player on the floor last night by a country mile. You guys are killing Murray but Jokic was worse both offensively and defensively last night. Murrays lowlights just stick out more when you're watching live.

Offense was atrocious against the Lakers all series long too. Nuggets rely on the 2 man game way too much and both LA and Minny are doing a good job of defending it, especially to start games. Nuggets are forcing way too much of it. Run some DHOs with KCP and MPJ. Run some double drags. It’s a very predictable and boring offense right now. Also Jokic simply has to live in the post in this series. You have to get Gobert in foul trouble. We should have played downhill more. Seemed we were playing uphill, and they were the downhill skiers in Colorado! Jokic taking 9 3’s is about 6 too many! Let’s see if Malone, Jokic, and Murray make the needed adjustments tomorrow night. If not and we lose again, series isn’t over but it’s close. Don’t forget we came back from 1-3 twice in Bubble. Jokic is going to probably have to take 5-6 per game. Have to get Gobert away from the rim and also make him guard you in different ways. Wolves are going to live with that shot so Jokic (career 40% from 3 in playoffs I believe) has to take and make them.

The defense and the turnovers are the biggest issue for me. Minnesota isn't an exceptional half court team on offense. They rely on Ant and KAT isos, second chance points and points off turnovers. The squad did great at cleaning up the glass which limited their second chance points. The squad turned over the ball way too much which gave them too many points. Even with Jokic and Murray at less than ideal efficiency if they just hold Conley and Reid to 20 instead of 30 points on lower efficiency they win that game despite Kat and Ant having great games.

My take is aligning more and more with GB as the playoffs go on. 5 days off and Murray got worse. Seasons over, unless that calf magically heals up.
I think we're gonna have to adjust and play the bench more. We need more length and athleticism on the floor with KCP and Murray looking gimpy. Can't win if you get dominated on the glass and can't make Ant's life a little harder.

You guys know I'm always optimist. But, after 6 games into this post season, I don't think Nuggets have it. Jamal is not right. That injury after all star break definitely was much worse then we thought. Plus, Jokic is not Jokic from last year. Some of it is on Jamal's poor play cause that 2 man game is not where we need it to be. We beat Lakers cause AG and MPJ has been playing great. Against Minnesota that is not gonna be enough. We got excellent game from Reggie, CB and to my astonishment, Justin Holiday. The one part we thought Minnesota has advantage, the bench, we totally outplay them. And that is the problem, starters were ineffective. Unless Jamal finds health elixir or MPJ goes bonkers and start scoring 35 per game, not sure how we can turn this one in our favor. I worry that Jokic is injured - to the point that it's causing fatigue. Ditto on Jamal. In addition, the players on Minny know this might be their only year. With their cap situation, multiple players will be jettisoned. So - this is going to be Minny's best chance, potentially ever. Good chance they're hungrier. With that - I hope someone explains to our guys - if you beat Minny, the rest is honestly a cakewalk in comparison. Our guys play their best when their back is against a wall - and I"m not convinced Minny is absolutely better. Game 2 is ours.

Duh, love you bro but we just don’t have it this year Minnesota is playing their hearts out and giving it everything while we are frustratingly not even coming close to matching their effort Is it injuries? Complacency from winning it all last year? Waiting until the very last moment to “flip a switch”? I don’t know but these guys just aren’t fighting. I read other forums all the time and I’ve lost count at how many times 95% of their fan base (no exaggeration) would post before the game “we have no chance! Denver will blow us out! This is going to be ugly!” Or whatever and they not only don’t get blown out, but beat us. I keep waiting for that to happen the other way around. But just doesn’t work that way.
