I don't think it's unfair to say that you don't think Zeke is going to develop (or that you do.) But I do think it's unfair to talk about him like he's just a trash-tier player who doesn't care about basketball and only plays because he's tall. He's shown enough that we keep seeing him tested as a 9th/10th guy and then he keeps getting hurt, and he keeps working back from injury. We haven't seen him just shut it down and not care. Haven't seen the team try to trade him or act like he doesn't deserve a shot. Maybe he won't ever be good enough and healthy enough for a long enough stretch to really be in the rotation, but it won't be because he just DGAF.

One great thing about this 9-day rest is that Jeff green will have rested legs. Don’t care what anyone says, on the whole, he’s been a vital piece of our winning the western playoffs.

Braun wants minutes in the NBA Finals. Are you listening, Malone?

My observations are based more on a combination of talent (his is modest) and apparent confidence (also modest). Also — Calvin Booth doesn’t appear to be a big believer since he said Nnaji is not an NBA center. Given that Nnaji is taller than a lot of NBA centers, including 2X all-star Adebayo and plenty of other guys playing C, that seems to be something less than a vote of confidence. But he’s still just 22 and if he keeps grinding, he could turn it around.

I think his durability precludes his use as a full time center. As a small ball 5 off the bench in spurts, sure. But 20-40 minutes a night as a true 5? He hasn't shown anything to this point that tells me he could hold up in that role. It's one of the main reasons Anthony Davis prefers to play the 4, too.
The Nuggets need Zeke to be the bench 4 next year. If not him, then Vlatko or White. One of those three has to be that guy because Uncle Jeff is not coming back and even if he does he can't be counted on for another entire season and playoff run at 37. And our other limited cap space needs to go to finding veteran depth at guard and center.

The issue is that bench forwards (guys playing at least some of their minutes when Jokic is out) need to have an off the dribble game and be playmakers to some extent. To date, Nnaji hasn’t really shown that he has those skills.

To date, Nnaji hasn’t really shown that he has those skills. Then he needs to develop those skills or be traded. He can play in this league but if he can't fill the role we need him to we're wasting his time and he's wasting ours. Try to get a veteran 4 that fits the bill for Zeke and a pick if Nnaji can't hack it. In the meantime, I really do believe in Jack White. I think he's skilled and intelligent enough to contribute; maybe a bit smaller than Uncle Jeff but not tiny. He has a high motor, he boxes out and rebounds, he can shoot the 3, he is a good defender, he has good court vision, and he's a very good communicator on the court. But I'm obviously not ready to just pencil him into the rotation next year as he's proven nothing in the NBA yet. Hence the need for Zeke, Vlatko, or a trade to bolster the position behind Gordon. And I know some people want Watson to be a 4 but I really think he's a 3. Maybe he could grow into it in a few years but he played both forward positions in the G this year and he looked way, way better at the 3 across the board.
