JB and famicommander do not realize by supporting the Celtics, you are supporting corrupt refs like Scott Foster & Tony Brothers
LA Lakers & Boston Celtics are clearly two teams that are part of Adam Silver's plan

Tonight I am looking forward to history being made. Celtics being the first ever team to force a game 7 after being down 0-3 and choke on their home floor.

Before people completely dismiss the Rocktober analogy, I suggests they read this…

The Rockies sent Jeff Francis, Ubaldo Jimenez, Josh Fogg, and Aaron Cook up there against freaking Jon Lester, Curt Schilling, Josh Beckett, and Daisuke Matsuzaka. Literally all four of the pitchers we sent up there in the world series had a career losing record.
Stop mentioning the stupid 2007 series. That Rockies team wasn't good, this Nuggets team is. And baseball has precisely dick to do with basketball.
So get a grip, rock jr.

We only need to take 1 on the road. We have won road games in every series and Boston has lost road games in every series. That’s if we don’t lose any at home. Splitting the first two is mandatory. Otherwise it’s over. We lost games 3 & 4 of the Suns series and still won it in 6. In 2020, the Nuggets were down 3-1 to the Jazz and 3-1 to the Clippers (who many favored to win it all that year) and won both series. Time and again the Jokic/Murray version of the Nuggets have found ways to win series even if they don’t win so-called “must win” early series games.

Before people completely dismiss the Rocktober analogy, I suggests they read this… I suggest Nuggets fans should bang their heads against the wall. Why should they enjoy this greatest postseason ride in Nuggets history? Nuggets fans should do nothing at this time but think of the worse things that could happen because why should any of us get fun and joy out of this postseason?

@andyslater The Heat have a flight scheduled to Denver, not Miami, after the game tonight, per FAA records.

on his recent podcast, Boston superfan Bill Simmons called the Nuggets the best team in the NBA since the KD Warriors.
just some perspective for those having a panic attack over the prospect of facing the Boston Celtics.

The Miami metro area is a bigger market than the Boston area. That's not how media markets work. The Boston media market includes Providence, Hartford, all of New Hampshire/Maine/Vermont, etc. Top US media markets: 1 New York, NY 2 Los Angeles, CA 3 Chicago, IL 4 Philadelphia, PA 5 Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX 6 San Francisco-Oak-San Jose 7 Atlanta 8 Houston, TX 9 Washington (Hagerstown), DC-MD 10 Boston (Manchester) 11 Phoenix (Prescott) 12 Seattle-Tacoma 13 Tampa-St. Pete (Sarasota) 14 Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN 15 Detroit, MI 16 Denver, CO 17 Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne, FL 18 Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, FL 19 Cleveland-Akron (Canton), OH 20 Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto, CA And beyond that, people in Boston actually care about sports and people in Miami largely don't. Nobody goes to Dolphins, Heat, or Panthers games unless they're competing for championships and nobody goes to Marlins games even when they win championships. Plus Boston is one of the oldest teams and they have a national, if not global, fanbase.

I'm not afraid of the Celtics but of Adam Silver/NBA refs (Scott Foster, Tony Brothers, etc) and how they may/may not want the Celtics to win, as they are a legacy franchise Besides, games 1 & 2 of the NBA Finals should be at Ball Arena in Denver -- we have earned home court, the city of Denver, state of Colorado and long-time Nuggets fans ...we deserve home court in our 1st NBA Finals ever ...we have been waiting for 47 years!

In the Lakers thread, I wrote before the series started that I believed the Nuggets would win it in a short series or in a long series. They could do it the easy way or the hard way. I believe the same is true now.

Wrongheaded and fallacious take. We concerned fans who are also multisport fans (I know you hate baseball) can derive some wisdom in the experiences of other teams we follow. Fami is dead wrong to say the Rockies were not a good team in 2007. 100% wrong. That Rockies team won 21 of 22 games to reach the World Series. It was the hottest stretch run to make the playoffs, then the championship round, of any pro sports team I’ve ever followed. At that time, when the Red Sox faced the Rockies in Game 1 of the World Series, the Rox were hotter and better. In MLB, for anyone not following the sport in Europe or elsewhere, it’s not usually the team with the best RS record that goes on to win the championship. It’s the team playing its best and having the hottest players at the time the playoffs happen. Sadly, World Champions in MLB aren’t not strongly correlated with the most talented or best team over a 162-game regular season. The 12-team postseason is a crapshoot. Who said I’m not enjoying this postseason and excited about the pending NBA Finals here in Denver, scooter? That is awfully dismissive of you to impune my level of enjoyment I get out of the Nuggets run this postseason. You seem to think those of us who ponder how difficult the Finals would be against the Celtics, as compared to the Heat, aren’t enjoying ourselves. A large dose of enjoyment comes from understanding the headwinds and then being thrilled when our team overcomes the odds anyway. Speaking of odds, on DraftKings the Nuggets are -105 (versus Boston -115) in a hypothetical matchup with Celtics. Against the Heat, the Nuggets are prohibitive favorites at -330 (Miami +265). So tonight’s Game 7 will determine whether Nuggets are -330 or -105 to win the NBA Finals. I’d say that’s a pretty big difference. GO HEAT!
