Most of us probably assumed that 1 of the top 3 seeds in the east would advance to the Finals, all of which would have home court advantage over the Nuggets. I always thought the Cs were our best matchup out of that group. Getting a Boston team that will have played 20 of a possible 21 games to get there…I would’ve definitely taken that.
Not to mention a Boston team that has gone all of 6-5 in the Garden thus far. Not exactly impossible to win there.

I looked up the loss @ Boston.
Horford made 6 of 8 on 3’s and mpj didn’t even make a 3.
Horford is 6 of 24 on 3’s against Miami. Lol.

Edit - mpj made one 3 that game
If Boston is relying on horford to go 6/8 from 3 to beat us - lol

Nothing’s ever easy. Facing Boston means a minimum of a 6-game series if we are to win it. Game 6 is in Denver, so we had better be up 3-2 by then.
Fatigue argument is a weak one, given these games happen every third day through Game 3. Yes, they will be tired this Thursday at their place. But it is their place, and adrenaline will carry them far, coming off an historic comeback ECF series win. We better hope somehow they choke this Monday night.

I don’t know how many years it’ll take to get over that white tip in.

I don’t know how many years it’ll take to get over that white tip in. Denver area kid who prolly grew up a Nuggets fan, and he single-handedly (with some bounce and clock luck) lowered our chip odds by 30% or so. This was a curse-like result for us.

That’ll add a couple years It’s fine though. I already knew the nuggets were losing the finals. Just wish it didn’t happen like this.

You two don't even get to celebrate when we win the Finals.

You two don't even get to celebrate when we win the Finals. I’ll be at the parade. I spent a goodly sum to be at Game 1 in Ball. Unlike rock, I think we have a punter’s chance to beat Boston. But it is less than 50%. We will be underdogs. And rightly so.

I don’t feel bad for Miami. Both teams played pretty poorly - but the Celtics played a better game overall.
Butler double dribbled and then got bailed out with 3 free throws.
Boston deserved to win that game.
Miami played like they were scared of their damn shadow. They get another shot on Monday. Maybe they’ll bring their testicles to Boston and actually play this time.

Can't believe the level of pessimism here. Do you want to be the best in the league or not? A champion should beat the second best to be a true champion. Also, this should teach em not to coast late in the season, as they would've had the home court advantage if they didn't fool around for the last month of the regular season.
Rest, plan and destroy whoever comes out of the east.

That ball could have bounced to far side of basket and Heat win. Or bounced a little longer and White doesn’t get tip with 0.1 seconds left. This is a destiny for Boston to win chip. Sorry, that’s how I see this horrible turn of events. Heat being a bad team isnt destiny. People freaking out because we wont sweep the finals and get a ring for free

Boston had 3.0 seconds and White got the ball off with 0.1 second left. Here is the moment Horford fouled Butler, with 2.8 seconds left. Adam Silver wanted a game 7 and he got a game 7 ...I wonder what corrupt refs will be in Boston's pocket for game 7?

I don't think either team had looked very impressive. Not sure how either team is going to guard Jokic. Jokic can’t do it all. He can’t out score Tatum, white, brown and smart by himself That’s why we have Jamal Murray and MPJ.

So let me summarize this real quick:
you’re scared of a team that went down 0-3 to a play-in 8th seed that’s full of undrafted players and now won 3 games with one game at the buzzer???
Yeah. Not me.
Nuggets in 4 over both teams.

Not really fair to say Silver rigged it. Jimmy Butler got a massive bail-out on that call, with 3 free throws at the end. I also thought the call against Bam was garbage. On the whole - I didn't see the refs giving extra favor to either team. Maybe, slightly, the Celtics - but Boston deserved to win that game.
