People here don’t believe in basketball karma, yet look at what happened to Embiid and his coach. Embiid wanted to win a RS individual award, and his coach let him play and dominate far too many regular season games that didn’t mean anything in order to get it, which he did. Karma arrived in the playoffs, attacking a fatigued Embiid with a knee injury which further slowed him down, and the coach who allowed him to go on his selfish pursuit gets the axe. Karma. Again, Embiid has literally been hurt every single year. The most obvious explanation is usually the correct one: dude's made of glass. College: missed the last 7 games including the tournament with a broken back 1st year in the NBA: missed 82 games, team missed playoffs 2nd year in the NBA: missed 82 games, team missed playoffs 3rd year in the NBA: missed 51 games, team missed playoffs 4th year in the NBA: missed 19 games plus 2 playoff games 5th year in the NBA: missed 18 games plus 1 playoff game 6th year in the NBA: missed 21 games (out of 73), swept in the first round of the playoffs 7th year in the NBA: missed 21 games (out of 72) plus 1 playoff game 8th year in the NBA: missed 14 games plus 2 playoff games 9th year in the NBA: missed 16 games plus 2 playoff games So instead of attributing something that has literally happened ten years in a row to some supernatural force... I'm just gonna go ahead and say the guy gets hurt a lot.

I don’t think Embiid’s many injuries are just bad luck. I don’t think he has ever taken his conditioning seriously enough. IMO, Embiid is always overweight and a good start to being in better condition would be to lose 20 pounds. That would give him a better chance to stay healthy.

You're not wrong. Not only is he too heavy, he's also often gassed and fatigue leads to sloppiness and more injuries. If he lost 25 pounds and stopped flopping all the time it might help a lot.

at one point Embiid said he's been trained to fall in order to avoid injury -- trying to land upright at an awkward angle is how you get knee and foot injuries.
This is true, but for him the problem is that he also falls extra when staying up is the right way to avoid injury, and that his conditioning is poor so he just ends up gassed and out of position and lurching himself into bad positions. Lighter and fitter and less floppy Embiid could actually be a deserving MVP.

Playoff leaders, remaining players
Points: 1. Butler - 31.1 2. Jokic - 31.0
Rebounds: 1. Davis - 13.8 2. Jokic - 13.5
Assists: 1. Jokic - 10.1 2. Murray - 6.3
He's better at basketball than all the other humans.

Spoelstra is a great coach. Somehow mindfucked Lowry into believing he's not washed.

I wish we had Kevin Love instead of Thomas Bryant.

I wish we had Kevin Love instead of Thomas Bryant. Ditto. Of course, I want every ex-Bruin on the Nuggets! 😂

He rebounds, he shoots 3s, he takes charges, and he passes. That's exactly what we want out of a bench big. He's not a great defender but the effort is there and he has a ring.

Jimmy Butler is unreal.
35 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 6 steals tonight.

How do we rank the remaining teams as the biggest threat to us?
1) Lakers 2) Celtics 3) Heat
??

I would switch the Heat and Celtics.
obviously HCA is huge for Boston but I just don't trust their J's to close the deal.

obviously we don't want to get ahead of ourselves here, but I'm worried you might literally die of happiness if we win a championship.

There is a non zero chance I end up in the hospital if we make the finals. I’m already so stressed. And this is after a win. If we lose game 2 it’s going to be devastating
