Ban everyone who gives a crap about who makes threads My take is basically: (1) I understand that it's fun to be the game-thread starter, and that if we don't have some kind of rules/expectations it turns into sometimes multiple people starting threads at once, so I like having a rule ( winner keeps making threads; only posters with X amount of posts can start threads; no weird racists or whatever) (2) The superstitions are dumb, and the posts about them can get to be pretty excessive, and there's a lot of weird conflict that basically amounts to "I'm going to pick a fight with someone because the wrong person started / stickied / posted in a game thread for my fake superstitions with made-up completely wrong statistics." I won game 82 but I do not want to make playoff game thread 1 against OKC/Wolves/Pelicans on April 16th at 8:30 pm, so I nominate Ring |

Only thing I know is stats don’t lie. And if we don’t win the games me and freak stood up at the middle of the night when we were down 20 and we still won, we would be 20-62

I leave winning threads up until the next game, but unsticky losing threads right away. You don't have to do it the same as me. If you have GT superstitions, by all means, sticky accordingly, but leave me out of it. |

I do think it's important to remember that Rock won 2 series down 3-1.

Lakers definitely did not look like a good team this game. TWolves looked even worse. This. 40 turnovers (!!!) in that game, and that wasn’t because of any kind of all-world defense. The Wolves were a complete mess in the 4th quarter and overtime despite Conley doing his best to carry them. (Tim Connelly has a real challenge on his hands with that very expensive yet disastrous looking team —- they owe KAT and Gobert a combined $392 mil —- very ouch!). It wasn’t a particularly fast paced game and Lebron was gassed well before the end of the 4th quarter. The Lakers did get a couple of questionable calls/non-calls down the stretch — I’ll concede that — but overall they’re not scary and beating them in the first round would have fun. Scary? No. But the Lakers have been the better team over the last couple months. Like it or not, they keep finding ways to win games and the only almost bad loss they've had recently was the game when Lebron came back from his injury. They've held their own in every other game and beaten the Wolves, OKC and NO over that stretch. And if there is a kryptonite for the Nuggets in the playoffs, it's Jokic getting nailed to the bench with foul trouble. It's gonna happen regardless of who we play, but the Lakers favorable whistle is the scariest thing we could've faced in the first round. |

Ring and Jimi both have great records.
My gut tells me jimi should start off, but I’m good with either. Of course - if we win the banner, jimi should be banned.
And Lothar should be banned for not believing in superstitions.

I just don’t see it with the lakers. They look f***ing tired. All are making good points, but the nba can carry a dead corpse only so far.
Obviously I prefer okc.
Regarding NO - Jose Alvarado will be back by game 3 - and Zion is apparently closer than people realize.
I’ll take minny, please.
