Murray coming in hot for that 3-point record. So proud of him!
I really do believe, when all is said and done - Murray will be considered the 2nd best nugget ever (after jokic).
Such a great time to be a nuggets fan. Grateful I get to enjoy it!

Some advanced stat milestones:
Offensive Win Shares 1. Dan Issel 71.6 2. Alex English 67.6 3. Nikola Jokić 65.8
Defensive Win Shares 1. Dikembe Mutombo 25.7 2. Marcus Camby 25.6 3. Nikola Jokić 25.2
Total Win Shares 1. Dan Issel 94.8 2. Nikola Jokić 90.9
In 51 games this season Jokic has 8.6 OWS, 2.7 DWS, 11.3 WS. At this pace he'd pass those ahead of him in
OWS - 11 games (English), 35 games (Issel) DWS - 8 games (Camby), 9 Games (Deke) WS - 18 games
With 23 regular season games remaining, Jokic should be #2 in OWS and #1 in DWS and WS by the end of the season.

Just another example of Jokic being a much better defender than he gets credit for.
No, he's not a big shot blocker. And yes, when a little guy gets him in space he gets put on roller skates, as most bigs do.
But he gets steals, he gets deflections, he contests a ton of shots, he makes the right rotations, he yells out the calls for his team mates, he takes charges, he dives after lose balls, he stacks up defensive rebounds.

I agree 100%, and imagine how much he would improve if he got the superstar whistle, because just like the kicked ball and take foul changes, Jokic adapts and takes advantage.

Jokic has tied Nene for 5th all time in steals. I'll do a total stats update after he passes him, hopefully next game.

doesn't need to be a general franchise thread. It's almost entirely Joker, and it happens that Jamal is close to one franchise record that we may as well note, but nobody else is gonna be in the "just passed Issel for 2nd" or "just passed English for first" conversation the way Jokic is on all these stats.

Jokic is 10 triple doubles away from passing the Washington Wizards. He already has more TDs than 19 NBA franchises.

Perkins is being paid to do this, or he is really stupid.
The ONE stat which can really be padded is rebounds, and Jokic does do his own version of the "Moses Malone", something I've often commented on, but Jokic does his own version which is not only totally legit, it's also a stat he gets without those moments 95% of the time. It isn't like "the Westbrook", where he would steal boards from his teammates. He does the amazing one-handed tip in, along with standard "Malones". By the way, last time I looked, Malone was in the Hall of Fame, and Malone/Joker are certainly NOT the only players who get multiple tips. Joker does them through effort, and as a guy who doesn't jump well, he isn't going to grab a board and jam it in. He finesses by tapping and tapping again. That must frustrate an incompetent like Perkins, who was lucky if he grabbed a board and steered it into the basket.
