Nuggets all time leading scorers: 1. Alex English (21,645) 2. Dan Issel (16,589) 3. Carmelo Anthony (13,970) 4. David Thompson (11,992) 5. Nikola Jokic (10,288)
Rebounds: 1. Dan Issel (6,630) 2. Nikola Jokic (5,423) 3. Byron Beck (5,261) 4. Dikembe Mutombo (4,811) 5. Alex English (4,686)
Assists: 1. Alex English (3,679) 2. Fat Lever (3,566) 3. Nikola Jokic (3,271) 4. Andre Miller (2,978) 5. Ty Lawson (2,745)
Steals: 1. Fat Lever (1,167) 2. T. R. Dunn (1,070) 3. Alex English (854) 4. Dan Issel (798) 5. Nene Hilario (694) 6. Bobby Jones (660) 7. Carmelo Anthony (634) 8. Reggie Williams (632) 9. Nikola Jokic (622)
Blocks: 1. Dikembe Mutombo (1,486) 2. Marcus Camby (1,126) 3. Wayne Cooper (830) 4. Chris Andersen (624) 4. Alex English (624) 6. Antonio McDyess (604) 7. Raef LaFrentz (556) 8. Nene (508) 9. Danny Schayes (470) 10. Blair Rasmussen (426) 11. Dan Issel (396) 12. Kenyon Martin (385) 13. Nikola Jokic (375)
Just thought it would be interesting to watch this man assault the record book of this franchise. Seems doubtful he'll ever catch Mutombo in blocks but he should be able to tackle the all time assists record next year and rebounds the year after that. Maybe five or six more seasons at his current rate for steals and points.

Jokic gonna be #1 in Assists and #1 in rebounds early into next season.
But he won’t be #1 in scoring. Steals #1 in a few years, blocks never

Jokic gonna be #1 in Assists and #1 in rebounds early into next season. But he won’t be #1 in scoring. Steals #1 in a few years, blocks never He'll need two years to get the rebounds in all likelihood. He's got about 1000 this year and it's his career best. Scoring he's going to end up with roughly 2000 points this season. So it's pretty reasonable that he'd track down English at around the same time he tracks down the steals record.

Assuming he doesn't play against the Lakers, here are his current totals with this year's numbers added
Points: 1. Alex English (21,645) 2. Dan Issel (16,589) 3. Carmelo Anthony (13,970) 4. David Thompson (11,992) 5. Nikola Jokic (10,364) (+2004 this season; career high)
Should pass Thompson next year.
Rebounds: 1. Dan Issel (6,630) 2. Nikola Jokic (5,456) (+1018 this season; career high) 3. Byron Beck (5,261) 4. Dikembe Mutombo (4,811) 5. Alex English (4,686)
Probably won't catch ol' horseface next year. Early the following season at his current pace.
Assists: 1. Alex English (3,679) 2. Fat Lever (3,566) 3. Nikola Jokic (3,281) (+584 this season; career high) 4. Andre Miller (2,978) 5. Ty Lawson (2,745)
Should easily catch both Fat and Alex next season to become #1.
Steals: 1. Fat Lever (1,167) 2. T. R. Dunn (1,070) 3. Alex English (854) 4. Dan Issel (798) 5. Nene Hilario (694) 6. Bobby Jones (660) 7. Carmelo Anthony (634) 8. Reggie Williams (632) 9. Nikola Jokic (627) (+109 this season; career high)
He should be able to track down several names and break into the top 5 next year.
Blocks: 1. Dikembe Mutombo (1,486) 2. Marcus Camby (1,126) 3. Wayne Cooper (830) 4. Chris Andersen (624) 4. Alex English (624) 6. Antonio McDyess (604) 7. Raef LaFrentz (556) 8. Nene (508) 9. Danny Schayes (470) 10. Blair Rasmussen (426) 11. Dan Issel (396) 12. Kenyon Martin (385) 13. Nikola Jokic (376) (+63 this season; career high)
Another year at this pace should be enough to break into the top 10.
Of course, it may not be fair to expect he'll set career highs in all 5 categories again next year. But it's sure fun to speculate.

Jokic this season vs career highs PPG: 27.1 (career high; previous high was 26.4 last season) RPG: 13.8 (career high; previous high was 10.8 last season) APG: 7.9 (career high was 8.3 last season) SPG: 1.5 (career high; previous high was 1.4 in 2018-19) BPG: 0.9 (career high; previous high was 0.8 in 2016-17 and 2017-18) FPG: 2.6 (ties career low; previous low was his rookie year when he only played 22 MPG) FG%: 58.3% (career high; previous high was 57.8 in 2016-17) 3P%: 33.7% (career high was 39.6% in 2017-18) FT%: 81.0% (career high was 86.8% last season) Double-doubles: 66 (career high; previous high was 60 last season) Triple-doubles: 19 (career high; previous high was 16 last season)
The only dubious milestones: 3.8 turnovers per game, career high after sitting at 3.1 the previous three seasons 11 technical fouls; nearly double last season's total of 6 and 2 above his previous high of 9
I think it's easy to attribute his minor decline in assists to the lack of Porter and Murray. How many surefire assists clanked off the rim this year? I'm sure it happens a ton every season but it sure seemed to be happening more this time.
The free throw and 3 point decline is tempting to attribute to fatigue from carrying several lifeless corpses everywhere he goes.
His defense is obviously vastly improved. More measurable productivity without fouling and clearly a huge intangible influence on the entire team defense.

David Thompson would've won (at least) one MVP if he was never introduce to cocaine. I'm still not over it and he retired before I was born.

I still say Melo was robbed of Rookie of the Year. It was obvious LeBron would be the better player long term, but Melo put up way better numbers and got to the playoffs their rookie year.

With Barton gone, Jokic is now the longest tenured Nugget.
Longest tenured guys on each team in town Broncos: Brandon McManus (since 2014; the last guy remaining from Super Bowl 50) Rockies: Charlie Blackmon (since 2011) Avalanche: Erik Johnson (since 2011) Mammoth: Joey Cupido (since 2012)
Honestly can't name anybody on the Rapids.

Next milestones for Jokic 1629 points to pass David Thompson for 4th 1175 rebounds to pass Dan Issel for 1st 286 assists to pass Fat Lever for 2nd 6 steals to pass Reggie Williams for 8th, then 3 more to pass Carmelo Anthony for 7th 10 blocks to pass Kenyon Martin for 12th, then 11 more to pass Dan Issel for 11th 210 minutes to pass Ralph Simpson for 9th 5 3 pointers to pass Wilson Chandler for 6th
So barring something catastrophic we'll see him rise up at least one spot on all of these lists except rebounds this season. He should pass up several people on most of these lists this year, and should get to #1 for assists.

Jokic has passed both Carmelo Anthony and Reggie Williams on the all time steals list, jumping from #9 to #7.
Should catch Bobby Jones in a month or two, Nene by the end of the year to crack the top 5.
