This is the trade I want:
No trade before ASB and before we see where we at, is the preseason a fluke or not, MPJ/Barton situation, Garris form etc.

You might want it, but on what planet does Houston trade Harden for Harris and Barton? Obviously we add fillers such as picks, Cancar, maybe RJH or other young piece. Also, here is how we’d trade for Kyle Anderson... www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y8w7hto3Again, picks may need to be included. Come on man. These deals are absurdly one-sided. Brandon Clarke had an excellent rookie season — 21 PER.

Man MPJ for Harden feels like a steal. Talent wise it’s 100% a steal But add in: Age Attitude Contract Depth lost Draft picks And it’s not that great.

Man MPJ for Harden feels like a steal. not just MPJ, you have to throw in Harris and Barton to match Harden's massive salary. that's 3/5 of NT's dream starting lineup for a star whose lousy attitude and ball dominant game is almost guaranteed to get on Murray and Joker's nerves.

A few notes on a Harden trade -
My understanding (again, not guaranteed truth) is that Houston is damn shocked that they aren't choosing amongst 5 godfather offers right now - especially what NO got for Jrue. Again, my understanding is that Denver, Philly, Toronto, Brooklyn, Milwaukee and Miami are all making lowball offers. That could change within seconds, but right now, my understanding is that there is major shock over this.
If we offer Garris, Barton, MPJ and three firsts, it's probably a done deal - but we're not offering that. Our FO LOVES MPJ (deeply). That includes Josh and Stan, not just TC - all of them love MPJ. Remember - Josh played Division 1 college bball. As much as everyone loves to crap on him, he knows his basketball - its partly why Denver is the only franchise over the last 15 years to have three different GM's win Exec of the Year (or be in the running for it).
With that - Harden's recent antics (throwing balls at rookies, partying with strippers, etc) is NOT helping the value. This is reducing the amount of firsts that could come in a deal. And Harden's behavior is likely only going to become worse if he's not traded, to the point that the NBA may even suspend him for not taking Covid seriously (and that's when his value really falls). So Houston needs to do a deal. This is where TC is at his best. The dude is patient and waits for the price to be driven down - if it does, he strikes.
Garris, Barton, MPJ and 2 firsts? Or even just 1 first?
All I will say is this: If Harden is NOT in a Nuggets uniform this year, it is because our FO is far more bullish on MPJ than we even thought. Houston wants MPJ - they've ran their analytics and they know MPJ is a star waiting to happen. They want him more than Simmons and Pascal. It could be only a matter of time until Houston says "Okay fine, just give us 2 firsts, with the rest."
If you don't want this deal to happen, I highly recommend the following:
1. Call the Nuggets ticket line and leave a VM opposing the deal.
2. Tweet to the Nuggets account and let them know too.
I'm not kidding - the FO listens to these voicemails, they read the tweets - and if they think a deal is going to piss off the fan base, they will take that into consideration.
Also - send your tweets to Mares, Harrison, the DenverStiffs and DNVR crew, Mike Singer, etc - the FO will reach out to these guys and ask what the fans are thinking.

I am sure they read NT or have staff that read this place. If so, they had better realize that they’d be committing franchise malfeasance by including MPJ in ANY Harden deal. What’s to stop Harden from behaving badly here and putting Tim in an awful spot a year from now by dogging it and demanding another trade? I don’t trust his cultural fit, but most importantly, I don’t trust his character.

Gotta stay the course.

Pump the brakes a bit please. We haven't faced a serious defense and potent offense yet. Neither we will tomorrow. If we look as good as we did on both ends of the floor vs LAC on Christmas I will join the hype train. Even if we lose. But if we get exposed vs teams that are contenders just like we are, changes/trades will be likely scenario.

Against Golden State we didn't look too good. I think we're going to be very good because Murray/Jokic will be great and Craig/Plumlee aren't here to stop the ball anymore. Everyone seems to have bought in. Christmas game is a great test to see where we're really at.

I agree with you guys about Christmas Day, but PDX is a good team - we basically stuck their head under water and didn’t let them breathe.
If Malone commits to that zone-d - it’s truly a thing of beauty. I hope he doesn’t get nervous and ditch it for man-to-man. Every player executed that system beautifully. I’m very bullish and I don’t the preseason games were an aberration - what we saw was a sign of things to come.

as a coach, I like to throw different coverages out there all game. it's my trademark... make the offense think and feel uncomfortable. not a lot of nba teams run a zone defense AT ALL... we have the tools to be a really good team here... Facu and Harris could be NICE on top of the 2-3 zone man

this is literally the trade people have been asking for for years. trade for a star, consolidate assets.
I bet there will be a lot of talk about this if we somehow struggle or if MPJ struggle

I think it's a terrible fit. Harden needs a cast that does their best work away from the ball. I think he was deadliest with Capela/Howard as the centers and guys like Ariza and Gordon surrounding him. He really should be the focal point with a bunch of athletic guys flying around, making hustle plays, catching lobs and shooting 3's. You trade MPJ/Barton/Harris, we just aren't that team. Nobody on this roster is really great off-ball.

Losing Barton and garris too, takes a big chunk out of the team, at least for this season.

I created an account to voice my opposition to any Harden trade. Harden is 31 years old, can't play defense, shitty attitude, parties with strippers in different NBA cities, underperforms in the playoffs, etc. He is not the star you want to trade for!! DO NOT TRADE MPJ UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THE NEXT 10 YEARS OF MPJ >>> 1 YEAR RENTAL OF 31 YEAR OLD HARDEN (WHO WON'T EVEN BE HERE NEXT SEASON) That being said, I would consider Gary Harris and Barton for Harden. And that's a maybe. No 1st round picks for a 1 year rental of Harden. The shooting guard we should be targeting is Bradley Beal. NO MPJ IN A DEAL FOR BEAL.

The only current star I would trade MPJ for is Luka Doncic and we know Dallas would not do that trade
Gary Harris, Barton, MPJ, 2 1sts, swap 2 1sts for Luka Doncic, James Johnson, Tyler Bey
Does Dallas consider our offer?
PG-Luka Doncic/Facu/Monte
SG-Murray/Monte/Dozier/Hampton
SF-James Johnson/Bol/Tyler Bey/Cancar
PF-Millsap/Green/Nnaji
C-Jokic/Hart/Nnaji
