We have two bonafide stars on the team (more if you count Gary and Murray) and a coach who is confounded at how to configure a defense that can work with the offense. And he's had 2 full years to figure this out. In spite of this, we still have the league's #1 offense. It's an incredibly special and unique roster that needs the special hand of an intelligent coach. To pass it off as something laughable shows how vapid you are in your assessments. |

okay so we are not the #1 offense in the league? Im confused From 12/15 until the end of last season we were the #1 offense. That isn't a 10 game stretch. That's a pretty big sample size. We entered this season with Malone saying "the offense is going to change this year" and boy did it. Gone is the beautiful offense that we saw last year that made every game enjoyable to watch. Now we see a ton of ISO ball, less ball movement and tons of guys standing around and being confused. Lets not pretend our offense last year wasn't incredible. And don't give me the Gallo/Jameer thing. I don't care. We saw that offense this year in February with different players and the results were the exact same. Lowest offensive rating that stretch was 105 against Houston where we went 3/27 from 3. |

and f***ing lol at the #1 offense Didn't we have #1 offense for a nice part of the last season (even without your Gallo), and didn't we go back to that offense in a short stretch (about 10 games) this season when Malone was forced to play that game due to injuries? oh and we had pretty good results during that stretch... e have zero stars and a mediocre coach So a guy that was an all-star for the past 4 seasons and a guy that can put 40-50pts and run your offense to a victory are not stars? I agree they haven't looked like stars for the past several games, but maybe it's because they were playing out of their roles... Maybe the team is mediocre, but the coach should f***ing aspire to be mediocre |

There were stretches withoud Gallo or Jameer and we were still #1 offense. Did we still paly the same style of offense after 10 games this season or did malone change it and we sucked again? Go through Jokic stats and see... |

He only made it because of a thin Eastern Conference. It bugs me we pay him the same as elite NBA talent. We only paid him that because it's a 2 year deal. No big deal. Millsap is awesome when fully healthy. Not worth 30M but neither is a lot of the players making that; |

This group has a lot of issues. Yes Malone is one but a lot of other things need to change for this to be a team that threatens to do anything substantial.

I'm f***ing tired of carrying water for Malone because I want him gone. However, there are gonna be some sad fans next season who think this is a 55-60 win team with him gone. This group has a lot of issues. Yes Malone is one but a lot of other things need to change for this to be a team that threatens to do anything substantial. I'll take a 25 win season with any new coach over this 40-44 bullshit that we've seen for 2 years now where we are in literally the worst spot possible in the NBA. No playoffs. No chance at the lottery and therefore a very small chance to draft a game-changer. Malone is f***ing terrible though. I'd be very surprised if the team didn't improve with a new coach. The team doesn't connect with him and that's obvious because of the mistakes that have plagued this team for 3 years straight. He clearly isn't getting through to them. Please get Becky Hammon here. Please. |
