Jameer is not good, but Morris isn’t a roster spot that could be made available to RJ. I made a mistake earlier in naming Craig since he’s also 2-way, but Lyles is a virtual scrub for us and should be traded for a future pick to make room for Jefferson. Also, the lack of a veteran PG to mentor M&M will likely hurt. At this point, I think Craig may be better than Chandler.

Chandler really needs to play the 4.
He's just an inefficient shooter otherwise. At the 4 he can drive past guys and mix it up between shooting and attacking the basket. He can't get by players who can actually defend the 3.
But damn, having below efficiency at the PG and SF slots are going to hurt at times. Jokic can mask our PG position but he can't mask the SF.

Its so funny because i remember you going on and on about how terrible Jameer is and how he shouldnt see courttime. And how great Chandler is and how is amazing cutting ability fits better than ISO Gallo

I swear I've never been high on Chandler, not at the 3 anyway.

Chandler only had one really good season with us, 2013 when he shot over 40% from 3 and had a WS/48 over 1.0. Last season was his second best with Nuggets, yet his WS/48 was only .077. He’s just not a winning player, even if he has the physical appearance of coming out of central casting. But he’s the best SF we have.

But damn, having below efficiency at the PG and SF slots are going to hurt at times. Jokic can mask our PG position but he can't mask the SF. My thing with our PG is I'm not really sure what you can realistically expect out of that position with this roster. Unless your getting a player that's better than Jokic/Harris/Millsap he's automatically the 4th option on the floor. Barton's role on this team for better or worse isn't changing most likely. Malone likes him playing his role. So if we had another PG most likely they take a backseat to Barton when he's in as well. It's not a video game, there's 1 ball. The PG brings it up and looks to dump it off to Jokic, or Millsap down low. Guess we'll see but I think people are overreacting to our PG play so far. For example Rubio torched the Wolves more than he did the Nuggets. He shot 3-9 vs the Nuggets for 9 points. He had 9/10/5 on 33/20/67 shooting splits with 3 turnovers. Murray shot 2-6 for 8 points on 33/40/100 shooting splits with 2 assists, 2 rebounds, and 3 turnovers. Rubio is the primary playmaker, Murray is an afterthought. He's not going to be creating plays for others, even if he was better at than he currently is that's not his role on this team. His turnovers are too high. With his responsibility/usage he shouldn't be giving it up 3 times a game. I think PG is just going to inconsistent this year. Murray will have games where he gets shots up and gets buckets and goes off and you'll see the potential, but he'll also have lots of games where he'll be a ghost and basically a spot up shooter who dumps the ball off.

I think the Harris/Malone situation is one too monitor. Harris needs to shoot more. You can't go 5-7 in a game where you aren't scoring in the 4th and need buckets. He just got paid, he's got talent, and while creating for himself isn't a strength the team needs to find ways to utilize him. His efficiency is amazing, and that's great, but when you have a bigger role on the team you need to go down swinging some nights. I would have rather saw the team trying to get Harris involved than just falling apart down the stretch.
Harris either needs to take it upon himself to get more aggressive, or the coaching staff needs to involved.
1 game, giving Malone a second chance, but the biggest concern to me is our players are soft. Nuggets are a soft team. Not on Malone, but whoever's coaching this team needs to correct it and figure that out.

It seems Malone is too much of a control freak. He wants "team play" but he's got some weird rotations, perhaps to "teach players a lesson". Totally agree that Harris needs to take more shots, at least 12 per game. Jokic taking just 3 shots and one of those a last second heave? That's crazy. So far our leading shot-taker is Barton, a bench player. Mudiay has taken the 4th most shots, ahead of Harris. Mudiay has also taken more shots than Murray. Two of our top four shot-takers are off the bench? I'm confused!

Malone is a goner, or should be, after the season.
Disgusted. Discuss.

I remember many here creaming their pants at the idea of Luke Walton a year ago
Didn't the Lakers choke their last game against us? With us ending the game on a 22-4 run... while being the worst defenses in the league
That's basketball

Luke should be praised for dragging that team to 10-15. Malone would have them vying with the Mavs for worst in the conference.
