RFK just released a video saying if Trump is elected he'll ban Crest toothpaste, children's sunscreen, Cap'n Crunch, Cheez-Its, Doritos, Mountain Dew, Vaseline, mayonnaise, Gatorade, grape juice, and Welch's Fruit snacks.
Remember when he and Trump showed up to the libertarian convention and pretended to care about freedom? Good times. Nothing more libertarian than the government mandating children get skin cancer!

Eating Sunday brunch today at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs to celebrate wifeâs birthday, and seated two tables away was Lauren Boebert. I wanted to walk over and say something to her, but held my tongue.

She was all over the guy she was with, Iâm not kidding. Two others were with them at a square table for four, and he ended up shifting his chair right next to her. Their backs were to me, so I couldnât tell if she was doing anything to him. My car was undamaged.

Maybe he could do some investigative journalism. Maybe he could also ask her why she hates queer people, immigrants, separation of church and state, and the entire body of modern scientific knowledge.

My wife and I had a steak dinner with duh back in 2013, and he was engaging and nice. It was before he was radicalized. Well before Covid, of course. I donât know what happened to him, but everyone goes through phases in life, some darker than others. I suspect he will come out of this phase one day and be very ashamed of the political views he held. It might take a decade or two, but I hope it doesnât take that long, for his sake.

"Aw shucks, it's just a 12 year Nazi phase, he'll grow out of it!" The more likely scenario is that it simply took time for him to reveal his actual character (or, rather, his lack thereof). Believe me, I find his views abhorrent, as I do the views of most of the 75-80 million voters who have already or are on the verge of casting their votes for Trump. This country has lost its mind, or a good portion of them have. But IRL, many of them individually are decent, nice people, which makes their radical dark turns all the more disturbing. Itâs as if we are living through the movie âInvasion of the Body Snatchersâ, and the real people we once knew have been replaced by pod people. Watch it if you havenât, and youâll understand. Such is the way of fascist cults, whether now or in the past as with Nazi Germany. Whatâs the saying? âMake people believe absurdities and you can get them to commit atrocitiesâ. Or what people would never do on an individual basis, they could be led to do or behave if for their cultish state. Thatâs exactly what happened during the 3rd Reich. The mass killers were âonly following ordersâ. We arenât to that point yet in the Trump era, but itâs the same mindset. Actually mind control by the algorithm, human or computer. Trump is a âhuman algorithmâ. www.nytimes.com/2024/11/02/opinion/trump-madison-square-garden-private-life.html

I am another one who knew Duh "before". Who could ever imagine reading of his excitement about his lunch with Nancy Pelosi and his proud joy of becoming a Democrat. I have hopes he'll wake up someday wondering what happened while hugging every immigrant he meets.

Hate to get back on a political rant but it's been bothering me all day about the hypocrisy of conservatives.
When the vaccine was coming out for COVID all you saw was these people going on and on about how the states shouldn't be able to force you to get the vaccine (which I agree with tbf) but those are the same people that are going to elect someone who is going to allow states to tell their women that they're not allowed to get abortions.
So lets get this straight. We can tell the government that they can't force people to get vaccines but the government can force women to have babies to term, even if they are at severe health risks. Just completely insane and disgusting. And I say this as someone who leans much more towards pro-life but the hypocrisy is just gross.

if you're wondering why both Trump and Kamala are now attempted a last ditch charm offensive on this issue -NYTtimes:
but it's too little to late, I fear. as I've been saying for months, either of them could've locked up the election months ago by being more humane, instead they get to enjoy a dead-heat coin-flip nail-biter election which will likely destabilize the country no matter the outcome. smart politics!

I'm not sure if it's more amusing or sad that Harris is running pro-Palestinian ads in Michigan and pro-Israel ads in Pennsylvania. Both are snipped from the same speech which actually gave a fairly nuanced view that I mostly agree with, but the ads are not designed around putting out that nuanced view, but around trying to pander to whichever side has more voting power in each of those swing states.

You really should listen to Michiganâs own Michael Moore on this issue. Starts at 12:39 mark. Whole podcast is good, but his comments on Gaza and Harris are spot-onâŚ

1 - Musk doesn't scare me as nearly as much as Thiel, because I don't see him as calculated and definitely not as intelligent as Thiel. He is a selfish imbecile and his danger comes form the insane amount of money that he has. Thiel I'd fear is cooking up something dangerous even if he had far less than what he already has. 2 - It's late and I'm laze to archive.is'd the link and read it now (tomorrow I will), I have no doubt NYT has shined the worst possible light on him, since they are for a few weeks now all gas no breaks into Kamala push. I am usually one of the biggest Musk haters in any room, but I'm just trying to emphasize - the danger coming from Musk does not nearly scare me as the one that comes from Thiel. If you read up deeper (maybe you already have) on Thiel - that mf'er is really unable to care about other human being. I also understand how you see Musk as bigger danger - he is more in the public eye with what he does (also a part of his damaged personality to seek mass admiration at a level of a 10yo kid), he owns twitter, and is floated out there as someone that might be put in charge of cutting public services. And that last one could have terrible effects, for which he would finally pay the price and see his empire crumble. Thiel is an advanced persistent threat, he will be there working on bending the world to his will after these elections pass, regardless of the results.
