I think this is a much needed thread. Many people will make comments about something unrelated to the topic in some random thread, because they don't feel it's worthy of it's own thread. Definitely a legit reason, so here is a thread you can post those (basketball related) random thoughts, trade ideas, venting posts, etc in.
Another issue is people posting thoughts about other NBA games in a Nuggets game thread. We already have a general thread for other NBA games in the NBA section, but it seems no one ever goes there or uses that thread. So, if you must, make whatever comments about other random NBA issues or games in here as well, and not in the Nuggets' game threads.
It'd be nice if we can keep other threads on the topic of discussion that thread was created for. Instead of turning a thread about J.R. into a trade discussion thread, and then a thread about Karl/Melo. Hopefully this will get it going in the right direction.

I think Graham's contract has become guaranteed now:
Didn't catch the Raps game, what was crazy? And how did D12 manage to get 9 turnovers?

He sucks ass right now. He got schooled by Roy f***ing Hibbert.
To be honest, he's always been kind of overrated. He's big, and therefore blocks shots and gets a lot of rebounds....but his skill level isn't all that high. He hasn't seemed to have developed all that much offensively in the past couple years, and is still a terrible free throw shooter. Partly it's the fault of the coaching staff, for running a system that is based on shooting threes and not much else. It would be one thing if they played inside out, and used Dwight to facilitate the offense from the post and set up shooters that way...but they really don't.
If he didn't have such an amazing body (mildly h**o), he definitely wouldn't be considered a superstar like he is...IMO.

Agreed. D12 is a good shot blocker and rebounder, but there isn't really anything spectacular about those #'s either..
He is strong as hell with weak post moves compared to other superstar centers, but I still feel he's underutilized. Cuz this is such a weak era at the C position, and the only thing close to a real superstar C has shot more FT's than FG's (Has that ever happened to an superstar before?). He needs to work on his free throw shooting or play under an different coaching system to really play the way he should (Physical ability and opponents)

I have a question. Is there an exception for international player to come in to NBA without drafted and if it is what type of exception? Please enlight me.

Before any player can sign with a NBA team, he must have been eligible for a draft. An international player can enter his name for the draft after he turns 19, per the new rules. But if he does not choose to do so, his name is automatically entered into the draft pool when he turns a certain age(not really sure, but I think it's something like 22 or so). If a player goes undrafted during whatever draft he is eligible for, he then becomes a free agent.
So basically, if an international player is over the age of 22, and wasn't drafted by an NBA team(should be fairly easy to check), he is a free agent and could sign with whatever team he wants.

wow ive been saying for years how overrated dwight was. lefty is right, if the guy wasnt built like a terminator he would be a nobody. its actually quite sad a guy with such physical gifts is so f***ing average. nene is a better player minus the rebounding.

Im tired of people using the word overrated? The term is way to relative to your subjective experience and the people you listen to. Dwight is a beast, best believe. He is not considered a superstar, if you go by popular belief he is under the likes of Melo and Roy in the Nba's pecking order...If you lead your team to the NBA finals (the Turk was amazing 2) and put up 40 and 20 games in the playoffs your f***ing legit..

Moving on from overrated to underrated (or at least largely forgotten) how about Tim Duncan beasting lately like his old days?
The Spurs have won 12 of 15, and in that stretch he's gone for 20.6pt/9.3reb/2.7ast/1.5blk on 56% shooting.
Not that I'm happy to see this since I hate the f***ing Spurs, but it's pretty damn impressive. If you'd have asked me before the start of this season, I wouldn't have guessed he had this kind of performance level in him anymore. Scary news for the WC, and I sure hope the Nuggets are all healthy by the end of the month when they go again to SA, because the Spurs will definitely be contending for a top conference seed and it would be real nice to secure the tiebreaker.
