staying under the 2nd apron means we have a chance to sign a TPMLE player. In the last 3 years that was Bruce Brown, Reggie Jackson, and Dario Saric. OK so one of those was a bad move, but one was a championship move, and one we don't know yet but I'm higher on Saric than on Zeke/Vlatko/DAJ

Embiid and Paul George both out for the first week of the season.
Putting those two together, especially after George just got a new contract, is just asking for trouble.

I am not sure about his part once playoffs starts. He can play with Jokic on offense, that will be no problem whatsoever. However, if your front court is Jokic/Saric, that is an issue in playoffs(they will play together in regular season, that is certain). I can see him more as Jokic replacement to play alongside AG, and then PWat to play with Jokic to cover for AG...

Porter and/or Vlatko will be on the court when Gordon sits in the playoffs. Watson should not play the 4 in the playoffs. We need his size advantage at the 3.

OKC - Chet/Hart together you could play Saric/Jok at same time. MIN - Gobert/Randle/Reid any two of those we could play Saric/Jok together PHX - I don't see them playing together in that series. DAL - PJ is a horrible 3 pt shooter, so you could put Saric on him, and put Jok on Gafford/Lively. LAL - I don't see Jok/Saric playing together much. LAC - I don't see Jok/Saric playing together much. MEM - IF they play Edey an Jackson JR then I could see them getting some run but no if not. NOP - I wouldn't see them playing together much. GSW - I wouldn't see them playing together much. I see Saric fluctuating between 8-20 mpg depending on the game and series in the playoffs.

there are significant and severe penalties for 2nd apron teams. imagine instead of declining to re-sign a 32 year old 3&D role player that provided neither threes nor defense in the playoffs, we traded Jamal Murray for Brad Beal or Jordan f***ing Poole. Can you list all these benefits or penalties?

Celtics raining 3s. Does Malone have to at least meet them halfway with this style?
Interesting one because we beat them twice last year and looked a class above in Denver.
Certainly need to increase the 3pt shooting across the season just to get more blowout wins on those nights when you're hitting over 40%.
Also Knicks gave up 5 FRPs for a dude whose jumper is broken lol

I can’t watch Boston Pop-A-Shot style. It literally puts me to sleep, though I will watch to see if they can break NBA record with their 30th three.

I hope nba is true on allowing more physicality that is only way to counterBostom just spreading and spraying. That and punishing them down low.

Thank goodness they couldn’t hit that record breaking shot. This is a joke, and makes a mockery of the game of basketball.

That was indeed an absolute borefest.
Agreed the NBA needs to allow more aggressive perimeter defense to counter that because soon everyone will be jacking up 50+ 3s a game which makes for a terrible viewing experience.

I’m old school, and would do away with granting three points for deep outside shots, or at least move back 3PT line to 25 feet and eliminate the corner 3.

MIN offense looks clunky. They don't have very many creators. They also look small, and the defense in non-Gobert minutes looks bad.

TNT showed Bronny James' highlight reel from tonight.
It included checking in and a postgame interview.

Minny didn't look good at all. Edwards was pretty trash. Sucks the Nuggets don't play till Thursday but really curious to see what OKC looks like. If Chet/Williams take another step they'll be pretty nasty. Jokic will always be a bad matchup for them but can see them grabbing the 1 seed if everything goes right.

If Chet/Williams take another step they'll be pretty nasty. Jokic will always be a bad matchup for them but can see them grabbing the 1 seed if everything goes right. Hartenstein being out is a pretty big deal as the Thunder now have to guard Jokic with Chet. I think the 1/2 seed race will be exactly as it was last year. OKC 1 and Denver 2. I still can't figure out exactly why so many people are down on the Nuggets. Their top 4 guys are back. They lost KCP, Justin Holiday and Reggie Jackson. They gained Russell Westbrook, Julian Strawther and Dario Saric. I just don't see how that swap makes them go from a 2 seed to a 5/6 seed like people are predicting. Losing KCP is somewhat tough from a spacing standpoint but at the same time, if Strawther makes a leap he could easily be a high volume 37-38% 3 point shooter. He becomes a better offensive version of KCP and Braun becomes a more versatile defensive version.
