I don’t think Westbrook is completely washed. He’s an athletic freak and if he’d be willing to harness his natural abilities on a better organized team, I’m fine with it. And if it’s true that Jokic has spoken with mgmt favorably about playing with Westbrook, that’s plenty good enough for me. Jokic knows 100X more than I’ll ever know about winning in the NBA. I don’t get people here mentioning the likes of Brogdon. He makes $22.5 mil this coming season. Last year of his deal and he is 99.9% going to be a buyout at trade deadline |

I feel like the only way to have RW work is to have Jamal Murray play SG minutes with him, but the whole point is to give Murray rest. It’s like our bench will have zero offense without Jamal. Talking about doing a disservice to the man who obviously shouldn’t be carrying the 2nd unit again this season. The bench is in so much trouble offensively and defensively. Murray Braun MPJ Gordon Jokic RW JM Watson  /MPJ Gordon/Holmes Realistically without any solid depth, our playoff rotation would look something like this and they’ll run Jamal into the ground again. |

Feeps like the Nuggets braintrust just got cocky. Last season they got away with it because of the chip but this year it's pretty frustrating.
I love Westbrook's intensity but man our shooting if CB doesn't take another step could be a massive weakness. Pretty much kills any idea of a MPJ trade as well which locks in the roster.
Nuggets FO has earned another year from me but if they miss again next season I hope they switch up the mentality.

I know some disagreed last year when it was a Booth lovefest but it's not Calvin running the show. Just like it wasn't TC. Or Masai. Nuggets don't value the GM position and GM's are always happy to go elsewhere for more control. It became obvious with TC IMO. If it's Josh + GM + whoever else ... I'm not sure of the setup. Nuggets have a vision that clearly goes beyond the GM's tho. |

I was just comparing him to Westbrook, which is apples to oranges, but Westbrook at 35 completely smokes Trent in every non-shooting category.
FTr .241 - .113. RB% 12.7 - 5.2. AS% 29.2 - 8.6. ST% 2.4 - 1.9. BLK% 1.4 - 0.4
Put em together and you have one heck of a player.
As it is, I'd probably take a chance on Trent over Rus, but I think sometimes we do overrate shooting. Sure, it's a needed skill these days. But it's not everything

Calvin literally believes in Pickett. Remember what he said in presser after we were eliminated? Said his game is like Jokic’s.
