I sure hope Calvin has more in mind than just DJ for back up Center. I have a feeling Moach is going to run Holmes at the back up 5 even tho Calvin clearly sees him as a 4. Nnaji may or may not be traded in a few days, either way, he is not a Center as well. Literally just Jokic and an aging Jordan right now (PJ Hall obviously won't play much); Don't know what to make of it. He can say Holmes is a forward all he wants but if Booth brings back both Nnaji and Cancar, what the hell else are we supposed to do if not play Holmes at C?

I'm fine with a Zeke for Micic trade. Micic is the better player, although not by a big margin. He can handle some backup point guard duties, which is a major need now and it'll save the team about a mil this year. Then we're free and clear unless we decide to pick him up next year. So it's a no-brainer for us and probably not a terrible deal for them either. Zeke's contract looks horrible for Denver right now because every dollar that goes to a non-rotation player is magnified. That's not the case for Charlotte. They can afford to take a chance on a guy that will only be making like 3% of the cap in the last year of his contract.
Get it done Booth.

Why are people saying “yikes” and sweating it out right now? Fami, relax, we are in third inning of offseason. Wait 18 more hours, at least!

I just don't foresee anybody giving us anything of value for the likes of Zeke, Pickett, or Tyson. I don't believe any of them will ever be rotation caliber NBA guys. It's a colossal mistake to go into the season with Zeke and DJ again. It shows we learned absolutely nothing.

This shouldn’t surprise you at all, it sure didn’t shock me. Zeke is as good as gone. Why are you even wasting keystrokes to contemplate his return? Some people are just too nervous to take a deep breath and wait.

When can part two of the Reggie/Micic trade happen? Because i think that whole idea is insane. And if it was pre-planned it will be announced the second it can

It's comical that you think Bryant would even have seen the court in the WCF Bryant was the Lakers' best bench player. Great rebounder, great low post scorer. Dude is bigger than AG and Jeff - had he been on the Lakers, that would have created bad matchup problems in the second unit. Remember - 3 of those 4 wins against the Lakers went to the final 5 mins. Bryant got big mins with us the moment he arrived, but literally forgot how to score. Fami, you watch plenty of LAX, WNBA and other non-consequential team sports (even the Rockies - lol). I live in LA and keep an eye on the LA teams. Bryant could ball. For whatever reason, it's like the mon-stars stole his powers the moment he got to Denver. Nonetheless - removing him off the Lakers roster was a big reason we beat the Lakers in a sweep (allowing for great rest before the Finals).

This is a bigger deal than you guys realize. FA's don't go out to dinner like this. At this point, Klay and his agent already know what deals are on the table and which ones are best. This is also PRIMO-time for Klay to be available to other teams. The fact that he's spending the hours leading up to FA in Denver, with the asst GM... that's very very telling. Regarding Calvin's plan - Holmes is clearly the backup C. I really wish we had held out for Drummond. I don't know why were bringing back DAJ? Malone didn't play him at all - not even against the Wolves, a team that we needed to deploy size against. We need a scorer off the bench and perhaps that's Klay? That's a great signing if so. Nonetheless - I'm still disappointed in the DAJ signing. There's other players, at that money, that can actually give us usable size off the bench.

Well - Harrison Wind is saying Klay doesn't happen - but he does expect two quality FA signings at C and backup and PG?

He probably so far up Nuggets ass he consider DJ a quality signing No - he said there's 2 spots open, and he was talking about another big man coming in, aside from DAJ. Wind does good reporting. It seemed like a very optimstic note to me, but let's see what happens.

Wind following Klay every move also is evidence of a total lack of logic. I guess he just does it to generate views but that idea was ridicilous the moment i learned what money we could offer.
Maybe even more ridicilous than last year when people thought BB should accept our very limited offer.

Calvin man...a f***ing shame. Had such a hot start but it's looking more and more like he has no idea what he's doing. Think of the amount of picks he's attached just to get off of Bones Hyland and Reggie Jackson. Literally every single Nuggets fan on Earth realized Reggie sucked and should not have been brought back. Calvin decided to give him our MLE AND GIVE HIM A PLAYER OPTION! At this point not even sure that bringing kcp and BB was Calvin's vision. It could have been discussed before TC's departure and he just executed it.

Well - Harrison Wind is saying Klay doesn't happen - but he does expect two quality FA signings at C and backup and PG? Harrison is only partially correct as even the checker at Home Depot knows that Klay isn't happening. However, with DJ signing and if Calvin follows through with his statements about vet mins for both Cancar and Holiday, then that leaves exactly ONE roster spot left to sign somebody not two. Essentially, you can remove a backup center off your free agent wishlist as this leaves a backup PG and backup scoring wing as major needs (hopefully one is completed via trading Zeke) he has to complete with that final roster spot.

I like Micic and I probably watched more Micic's games than 99% of NT but to expect him to be better and contribute more than RJ is ridiculous. I didn't like Reggie's fit in Denver but he's a better player than Micic

reminder that a Zeke move *cannot be made yet* because of the poison pill provision in his contract. Not until tomorrow when the league year changes over (and then it could only be announced because it's the moratorium period.)
