Yeah I'm not trading MPJ and a 1st for Cam Johnson. No thanks. Schroder as well. the FRP is maybe unnecessary but this is an ideal 2for1 trade for MPJ we should be looking for. Cam is making significantly less than MPJ with a declining salary hit and if we can extend DS immediately so he doesn't get poached in a year by a flyover eastern conference team with money to burn like what happens to us every FA, that would be a boon to our dead bench and would save Jamal for the playoffs.

Schroder would actually be a pretty ideal fit as a backup PG. The tough part to figure out is whether the pile of dogshit we have to offer in a trade would be enough to entice a team to make a deal. On one of the Nuggets podcasts they brought up Ayo Dosunmu as an option, but to me he's the type of guy that there is snowball's chance in hell of us being able to acquire. Schroder on the other hand is interesting because if the Nets are going full tank mode, getting rid of him for something like Zeke+Reggie+pick would definitely help that cause.
If somehow you can make that work and then sign a decent backup C to the vet min (Bitadze/Drummond/Theis/Eubanks/Bamba/Plumlee/etc), I think that'd be a decent start. If KCP walks then I'd also like to see a vet wing be brought in, ideally someone better than Holiday. It feels like there are a lot of free agents out there and a number of them will probably have to settle for minimum deals. Josh Richardson, Lonnie Walker, Gary Harris, Evan Fournier, Alec Burks, Shake Milton, Gordon Hayward, etc. It'd just be nice to have a little more experience to round out the bench, though I'm sure Calvin would probably disagree if he's trying to force Malone's hand into playing the young guys more minutes.

How about instead, Jamal just gets in shape and takes care of his body so we don't have to use him being tired or hurt as an excuse?
Guy makes 30M a year and is treated like he's 39 year old Lebron trying to carry a s**t roster.

I like the idea of Dennis too. We’re in win now mode and he’s adding more value next season than Zeke, Reggie and whoever we take at 28 combined. Just throwing darts through and not sure that gets it done. Dennis would bring Jamal’s RS minutes down which is critical next season. If we someone then kept KCP, we only really need to round out the roster with a serviceable back up 5 Malone would play. That’s a solid 9 man rotation with CB and Watson with who knows what Strawther will bring and Vlatco also potentially coming back.

Yeah I'm not trading MPJ and a 1st for Cam Johnson. No thanks. I think adding Schroder to our backcourt rotation would be a big addition. He’s only under contract for 1 season but given the payroll concerns that’s a plus. Ugly idea. Really hurts team beyond 2025 and likely doesn’t improve us this coming season either. Just trade for Richaun Holmes, draft the other Holmes, and call it a day.

How does that help our lack of ball creation on team, as well as lack of ball handlers??

I am not certain on this, but I don't think the nets can do this trade because Ben Simmons and mpj are on max rookie deals and a team can only have one max rookie. If I am wrong, carry on.

He gave us one of the greatest 2nd option runs ever. He's earned it. Agreed with everything else tho. It's wild to me how some act like he's carrying when he hasn't even made an All-Star team or All-NBA. In a season where he played 59 games 19 of those he played less than 30 minutes. He scored 20 or less in 29 games. We all know we need to rest Murray but give the excuses a break for abit. He's still a max player. He still needs to be counted on somewhat for the regular season.

Durando from the Post is reporting that the Nuggets are considered unlikely to trade their 1st rounder.

Calvin sounds like a f***ing loser when talking about KCP. Just bring the man back.
Talking about good teams being able to replace 4th or 5th starters. Well Calvin, good teams are run by people that dont think Watson is BETTER than BB.
Or that Reggie Jackson was good enough to CARRY the bench.

Gtfoh It's probably a 2nd apron thing from the Kroenke's more than it's Calvin just not wanting the guy back. Exactly! That is 100% KSE telling Calvin to do as much as possible to avoid the 2nd apron because he doesn't get to do anything else with the roster once they enter that death trap. Calvin traded for KCP as I doubt he doesn't think highly of him but when the boss tells you the 2nd apron is not viable for the team or Calvin's job to improve the bench, you start making statements about replacing the 5th starter. I was a coin flip on whether KSE will re-sign KCP before last night. However, if nothing happens trade-wise to clear significant cap space by the end of today's 2nd round (Zeke sent out the door for little in return)...then based on Calvin's comments I'm down to 10-20% he is re-signed.

Booth sounds like he is more interested in bringing back Deandre 9called him our Haslem) than than Holiday. I am thinking no more trades and just adding a player with the tazpayer MLE such as:
Gordon Hayward De'Anthony Melton Josh Richardson Gary Harris
