right on cue. unbelievable. On cue for what? She seems to have a direct conflict with the police officer that looks to have strong African roots... And until there are details from both sides there really is no comment to be maid. P.S. Sorry not here, but someone from her group.

Why would the Warriors even consider that? The Warriors would trade Curry if — wanting another realistic chance at a title — he wanted it. I think GBG was just trying to change the topic...

And until there are details from both sides there really is no comment to be maid. P.S. Sorry not here, but someone from her group. if you listen closely you can ascertain that (at least) one individual on the Paris streets attacked Ayesha and the infant she's holding in her hands, and Ayesha and Sonya Curry are exasperatingly attempting to explain they were assaulted to the police, who seem disinterested in pursuing the assailant. Again - wait for the statements... I understand what you were saying regarding the racial issues in France, and for sure they are there, but racial outbursts as a systematic problem in Paris would be quite a surprise, and if you wonder why, just go and spend some time in Paris, that place is probably the most diverse place in Europe w.r.t. racial diversity. Rightwing strongholds are far from European capitals. It's in less developed and less diverse areas. I can go guessing like you, and I'd be more inclined to attribute this to the understanding of personal space in public areas (one common issue with Americans in places like Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam...). Also one thing French are known to be at times hostile to (regardless of their ethnicity) is English language. (something some Americans tend to assume they should be able to communicate in anywhere).

that's a reasonable take BBB.
I have to admit, attacking mosques and attempting to burn down hostels full of refugees because Andrew Tate, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon and Nigel Farage perpetuated fake news that Mohammed ibn Mohammed came off a dingy from the English Channel and stabbed those poor, innocent children in Southpoint has me thinking very critically of my European friends at the moment. but I can't stigmatize an entire continent.

A common issues with your (US) POV is that you look at Europe too much as a monolith, and also same goes for the right wing extremism across those countries. There are levels to that and there is a reason why La Pen family flirtation with being in power past decades hasn't raised nearly as many eyebrows as AfD recently gaining traction in Germany. Same for not much disturbance with Wilders making a coalition in NL. Dutch ruling coalitions have always been a balancing act of many parties and practically any extreme shift is hard to happen. (bonus - take a look at Wilders congratulating Sifan Hassan). Some countries are known to be more xenophobic (and racist) on average than others, and the fact that you don't see a right wing extremist party in power in Switzerland, and you see an unhinged moron in the Netherlands, doesn't mean that as a person of color you'd feel more welcomed in CH than in NL. England is again a separate story, unfortunately economically they are not in a good place, especially in the region where the stabbings occurred. Austerity as a solution to everything and a failed (false) promise of the benefits Brexit will bring, have left fertile grounds for (mis)directed hate acts. There is a systematic spread of islamophobia, I'd say not just in Europe, but with everything going on globally, I don't want to go into why and how it is happening, as some guesses that look like plausible easily lead to a very dark place and conspiracy territory.

My quick notes on this - Europe has a massive problem on its hands. Europe benefits mightily from undocumented immigrants and the labor they bring. Many say America benefits the same, but it's not the same - In America, we provide healthcare and schooling to all people (regardless of immigration). Many European countries actually don't allow undocumented immigrants to access healthcare services or schooling (this is a major reason why euro healthcare statistics and school stats are often higher than ours - in Europe, only the citizenry, that is often functioning with higher incomes, accesses these services). The big kicker - Not a single European country offers birthright citizenship, unlike the USA. In the US, the undocumented immigrants come here, but there's an incentive to behave well - their kids are going to be citizens. The same is not true in Europe. Europe imports millions of undocumented immigrants yearly, primarily because their economies are now built on these people. Undocumented's offer extremely cheap labor, and the added benefit that the state doesn't have to cover any welfare for them (schooling, healthcare). Like all socialist movements, someone has to be exploited in order for the system to work - and in Europe, that target is undocumented immigrants. Without the birthright citizenship tho, we now have millions of people, living in Europe, who have no citizenship. They have minimal access to healthcare and schooling, and unless they marry a citizen themselves, their kids won't be citizens. This is a class of people who are expected to continue taking on rigorous labor-driven jobs, with poor pay and working conditions. Many of the people in this class (often minority men) are resorting to crime. It pays better, and on the basis of geographic area, there's a decent chance you won't even get caught. The crime rings in Europe include sex-trafficking and drugs. I don't like seeing Mosques burnt down at all. I have to be intellectually honest though, as a Muslim - there's a lot of Muslim men participating in crime - but this is also a function of land-locking these people, without citizenship and without social mobility. Europe is the only thing many of these men know, but without citizenship, and an ambition to make money - many of these men are turning to crime. Some citizens are obviously frustrated with this situation - but its a hard tap dance - how do you show your frustration without appearing bigoted? A lot of people don't realize it, but Europe is on a cliff right now. They have utterly fucked themselves with the sheer amount of second and third generation undocumented immigrants, who are homeless in terms of citizenship. Without the schooling and active work to ingratiate them into society, there's a bad disconnection between the European culture, and what is becoming a very underground immigrant and criminal culture. Europe's only path is to immediately give all of these people citizenship - they won't do that because the money isn't there to give them schooling or healthcare. You won't ever see this happen in the USA. Our immigration pipelines, whether illegal or legal, ultimately make everyone's family a citizen, with high incentive to participate. Our schooling and healthcare systems also uplift people. It's really a miracle what America pulls off yearly, in comparison to Europe.

Sorry, but you way overvalue MPJs trade value by understating how punitive his remaining 3 year max deal is to teams in this era where they are trying to avoid the tax aprons. Maybe with a year left a team could take a flyer on MPJ but nobody is taking a max contract guy only avg 16-17 ppg with 3 years left on the deal without substantial draft stock provided (which Denver doesn't have). There are other “bad” contracts in the NBA (Beal at 3 years/$162 mil and Poole at 3 years/$96 mil probably head up the list) so I think we’re heading closer to an era in which Porter could be traded if he stays on the court. I hate to interrupt these other delightful conversations on the French police not helping the Curry family and gender discussions...but I figured it was still acceptable to talk basketball here. Specifically, keep dreaming on MPJ having any trade value without attaching 3-4 1st round picks (which Denver doesn't have)...unless MPJ is on his last year via an expiring deal (2026-2027 season). I will gladly admit I was wrong if he's traded before the 2026-2027 season but otherwise get ready to wait a couple more seasons before we can finally ship MPJ out the door.

I assert that MPJ, when healthy which is most of the time these days (hopefully not jinxing him) is not the problem with the Nuggets. He’s the third or fourth best player on the team. The problem is that we have a weak bench, especially a weak deep bench, and below-average 3PT shooting overall. Too many unproven or useless players taking up roster spots when guys who can shoot could be signed for the minimum. Not sure the team is being well-run anymore, though I realize second apron challenges cause many of the problems. MPJ is fine, though. His contract probably prevents us from getting another quality rotation guy, so I get the sentiment that trading him for two good shooters might be addition more than subtraction. But the playoffs are 8-man rotations at most, anyway, and we have our 8 guys already with Saric, Westbrook, and Watson being players 6-8. MPJ could still get better too, but needs to stay healthy.

4-6-8-7
Those were the amount of points scored by MPJ from games 4-7 in the Minnesota series.
That is a catastrophe.
As the 3rd scoring option to me he IS the primary problem on the team if he is going to perform like that in a big playoff series.
The Nuggets biggest issue is the lack of ball handlers who can attack the basket or create their own shot.
MPJs contract needs to go to two guys who can do that to some degree.

Norway aint at the cliff of anything. No racist civil war. No right win psycho leaders. No mass immigration. More money than ever.

I'm not going to muddy this thread even more and delve into the socioeconomic impact of refugees in Europe, I'll just point out the big fray with the Curry family was president Macron was in the vicinity and the Curry family were being ping-ponged around the place and French police acted with more aggression towards the brown woman holding an infant than the English police did to the race rioters that took over their country.
would Ayesha's infant have been attacked if she did not look North African and instead looked like, say, Emmanuel Macron's teacherwife? I'll leave it to the more discerning of NT to make that call.

The Nuggets could trade Porter now or soon if they were heavily motivated to do it. The league always has overpaid contracts and Porters’ deal is not alone. Even if one ignores the bad short term contracts like the year left on Ben Simmons’ deal or the couple of overpaid years of John Collins deal, here is a sampling of long term deals that are overpays or likely to look that way sooner rather than later (remaining years/cash): Poole - 3/96 LaVine - 3/138 (both the Bulls and LaVine want him moved) Garland - 4/163 Quickley 5/162 Grant - 4/133 (turns 31 during the upcoming season) Ball - 5/204 Beal - 3/161 Porter - 3/115 I don’t know that the Wizards or Bulls or Cavs or Raptors (not yet since the ink is barely dry on that one) or Blazers or Hornets (also new deal) or Suns would pull the trigger on a proposed Porter deal, but going forward there will certainly be options if the Nuggets want to trade Porter. I’m not even advocating for any of these guys — just pointing out that Porter is not the only overpaid guy in the league.
