Why can't people just accept that the Nuggets were a worse team this year than they were last year, and the team that they lost to (Minnesota) was a better team than any team they had faced last season. The Nuggets won a Championship and I think it fooled a lot of people into thinking they were the Warriors or something. Last years team was a very good, not great team that had a very easy path to their Championship. This years team was a good team. Simple as that. Good teams don't win rings. Why can't you accept an easy truth that neither Nuggets were that bad team to waste 20pt second half lead at home nor Minny was that good to win the game while being 20pts down on the road if it wasn't for an obvious reason that could have easily been avoided.

We are a good team that's it we are not the next warriors dynasty ... No great NBA teams now Yet we won a franchise-tying 57 games this season, four more than in our championship year. Yeah, we pressed for that record with teams in front of us for the 1-seed, unlike last year. But since we blew a shot at 58 wins in San Antonio, all perceptions change. We likely get to NBA finals as a 1-seed, bad bench and all, since we would have avoided a fresher and healthier Minny team in the second round. We win that series if it’s a WCF series since Minny big guys would have been worn down more. But we will never know that for sure. Blowing that 23 point lead to the Spurs might have been franchise-altering, depending on the summer moves that might be made in reaction to our second round exit.

Because comebacks like that happen in the NBA all the time now. You make it sound like we didn't see that 2nd half multiple times during the series. When Minnesota turned on the pressure, the Nuggets couldn't score. Go watch Games 1,2 and 6. That wasn't fatigue. That was the Nuggets not having counters to a physical defense.

Comon man you can reply with better arguments. We've seen different comebacks. The one we're talking about is something that never happened in the history of the game before. It's a historic choke as a result of our starters being shot. Not Jokic and Murray but the other 3

Holiday, Porzingis, White, and Horford, are probably better then anyone else's 3-6 in the league. They didn't win the title on the backs of their two stars, who had good games at times, but those two could have bad games and higher rates then any other playoff team this year. Having said that, Horford is old, and Porzingis is an injury liability, and Holiday isn't getting younger either, they will have 2nd apron issues going forward as well, and injuries could be an issue for them going forward.

don't love the Celtics added another banner, but do the precedent that a "whole is greater than the sum of its parts" team won the chip. this is what I dreamt of as a Nugget fan pre-Joker.
like I said earlier, the Celtics are like the rich mans version of the 2012 Nuggets. I'm sure Karl is beaming on X right now.

Meh. Denver won it in 2023. Celtics just did it in 2024, and some other team will win it in 2025.
Welcome to the NBA in the age of aprons and parity.

I'm sure Karl is beaming on X right now. Bad analogy. Boston has two AllStars and others on the fringes, The 2012/13 Nuggets had Gallo, Chandler, Faried, Lawson, Iggy, and teamness. Nothing similar about those two teams.

On the one hand, the Celtics won and that's not acceptable.
On the other hand, Luka and Kyrie lost and that's hilarious.

Honestly feel like current NBA is at the lowest point it's been since Lebron came into the league. The on-court product sucks. The off the court stuff is just really annoying. The new CBA is really bad for the league. It's just a s**t show at this point.
Like that had to be the worst finals of all time right? None of the games were even close really. Just a complete borefest.
Not sure what Adam Silver and co need to do but you're definitely not going to grow the game with the way the NBA is going. It's just really trending downhill from both an on court and off court perspective which is a shame as there is still really great players in the league that can be marketed better.
