We kept hoisting up 3 after 3, and kept missing 3 after 3 after we built the 23 point lead. That’s a sign of tired guys who had little left after the Minny win and this being the third game in four nights. All it took was Wemby going nuclear with the 3-ball, and the run cutting the deficit to 5 to turn this into a dogfight. I felt the choke was entirely possible with five minutes left. Totally out of character for us, but we had a total mental and physical breakdown.

All of those lucky wins Okc collected all season
All of those blown games by us
There’s just no out running the curse.

1.) A group of players that got 57/11/16/1/3 from Jokic and Murray on 60% fg and 46% from 3 and managed to lose to the worst team in the league should take a rope and go and hang themselves 2.) A group of people from the organization that made a decision to prioritize riding Jokic to the ground for nothing without learning anything from the last few years should join the group above
What a dumb way to finish the last 2 weeks of the regular season where all 5 starters could have been resting and waiting for PO's

The bench was great tonight. KCP/AG did nothing wrong in the 4Q. Murray/Jokic were really bad, especially Jokic in the last minute and MPJ is a loser. Jokic had 14 points in the 1Q and probably could have put up 50. He took 7 shots the rest of the game. Compare the killer instinct he had vs Minny vs what he had tonight. It's an issue that should not be showing in a game 81 where the 1 seed is on the line. Jokic is simply not the best leader at times. It's obvious.

This is why it’s so hard to repeat. The guys are mentally and physically exhausted. Maybe they should have just sat this week? Who knows.

There was a possession where Jokic had a wide open floater and kicked out to Peyton Watson for 3 instead.
I'm so tired of his passive bullshit man

Well, 3rd seed it is. If it's up to me, nobodies playing in Memphis. 2-seed is a significant advantage over 3-seed. We get a team that had to expend lots of energy to win a play-in game. Maybe they suffer an injury in that win. 2-seed is guaranteed home court through conference semifinals. 3-seed isn’t, and in fact, our last 57 win team was beaten in first round as a 3-seed. Win Sunday and hope one of Minny or OKC loses (more likely Minny).

Im not saying he is as fresh as early morning dew, but he isn't dead tired. and he played against 19yrs old rookie. him and Murray should've close this game. they didn't. rest of roster follow them, its as simple as that.

I'd rather have 56 wins and a well rested/healthy squad. The absolute worst case scenario is you go hard, a couple guys get hurt and you end up in the 3rd seed anyway. No thanks

And like say, the Suns are doing everything they can to avoid the play-in so they'll be amped up.

We get it, but hoping another team loses in the last regular season game to correct our own team being depants by the Spurs, is wishful thinking. Nuggets just motivated OKC and Wolves to play hard on Sunday. Face the fact, Nuggets screwed up against the Spurs as we just watched not only their playoff seeding drop, but odds of returning to even the conference finals drop. Just makes last season that much more amazing when Denver only won 53 games yet had home-court advantage while this season they win 56/57 games and very realistically could be booted in the 2nd round.

Just makes last season that much more amazing when Denver only won 53 games yet had home-court advantage while this season they win 56/57 games and very realistically could be booted in the 2nd round. Again, the likelihood of being booted in the second round goes up significantly as a 3-seed than as a 2-seed. 1 plays 8 and then winner faces winner of 4/5. 2 plays 7 and then faces winner of 3/6. Assuming both the 2 and 3 seeds get out of the first round, 2 seed hosts a game 7 between the two in second round, should it come to that. I realize you may know all this, but I wanted to write this anyway in case others are lurking here and reading this. Getting a 2-seed is entirely possible, if not likely, as long as we take care of business tomorrow and defeat Memphis. Minny could easily choke on its home floor to the Suns, and while OKC is almost a guaranteed win over a resting Dallas team, you never know. Even a 1-seed could result from our picking up a 57th win. It’s worth the (health) risk, IMO.

On the bright side…this was not even close to the worst April 12th in Nuggets history. 3 years ago at Golden State, Jamal shredded his knee and derailed title hopes for 2 full playoffs.
