Jay Huff has been cleared for action. It took expanding the rosters to 18 to do it, but I think this is the first time in several years the Nuggets have had 17 healthy bodies. CG missed all of last year, Murray missed all of the year prior, and the year prior to that we were duct taped together for much of it. Minus Vlatko, whom we knew was down for the year anyway, this is as healthy as we can be. Knock on wood. |

Portland's WNBA bid is "on hold" after a two-year renovation plan for Moda Arena was announced that would have all the construction take place during the WNBA regular season.
So it looks like they have the same problem we have. No venue.

Bruce Brown must have secretly joined his old Nuggets teammates for a late Halloween Party last night. He went 1-6 and Pacers lost to Celtics by 51 points!

Walter Davis died today at age 69. I lived in Phoenix area when he was an AllStar for Suns as “The Greyhound”. Finished his career with Nuggets. A great shooter in his day.

still need to put a team around him. Wemby peaking this early is a curse in disguise, considering the Spurs will be now ineligible from utilizing their unprecedented lotto luck from pairing a star player with Wemby.
the Spurs in an era that the NBA disregarded Euro scouting were unmatched.
the Spurs in an era that the NBA is fully aware of European talent, was a less successful version of the post-Melo Nuggets.

I don’t know if Wemby will stay healthy or dominate the league and I don’t know if the Spurs are a contender in the making. But I do know that he’s very talented, and once again, the western conference is so so so much better than the east.

JB's point is a good one, as it eludes to Melo's rookie season, when we bypassed the lottery and got the 8th seed (and a late lottery pick would have helped greatly).
That said tho -
That melo team had Nene, Camby and Andre Miller. I'm pretty sure this current Spurs team will head back to the lottery. Wemby will also get fatigued, which would likely elicit the Spurs a top-5 pick and season tixs sales (best of both worlds).

Good franchises makes good enough decisions to sorround them with good enough talent. Not sure what the whole European talent stuff was. Spurs don’t rely on other teams not scouting in Europe, it’s one of the best run sporting clubs on planet earth |

I also honestly don’t think having the lottery picks is as important in 2023, because the talent pool is much much larger than only a few years ago
