don't give in to the doomerism.
these guys are still in their mid to late 20s, they're going to catch their second wind.
Jamal is at 31.7MPG this season. once Malone boosts that to 41MPG, that's going to solve a ton of problems for the Nuggets.
all I ask is Malone not be his worst enemy and just play the 3 best bench players he can find.

We won't repat it this year. Jokic is tired (more mentally than physically) and he won't be able to win us 16 games. You'll see him grumpy and crying at the refs very soon. Gordon can barely stand on his feet and mpj is mpj, tired again. We spilled the huge opportunity to rest the starters the last 2 weeks. Your getting to be ridiculous. We're going to have like 7 days off before we play a game. Like if our players who outside of KCP are in there 20s still can't ve rested enough for this playoff run with 7 days off then we were never going to win it in the first place. Truthfully if we had taken things more seriously in then middle of the season and not lose to a bunch of trash teams we could of rested more. But it's not rest that's going to cost us. These guys also don't play any back to backs in the playoffs. The rest thing is overrated. You watched the game last night and you still think that Jokic played bad on purpose, sabotaging the team in the most important game for #1 seed after burying Gober 2 days ago lol. 7 days is not enough. 3 weeks (like last year) would have been enough

You can expect him from the second round to pull the passive s**t from last night in every second game

calm.
Jokic played almost 50% of his overall minutes without Jamal Murray on the court this season.
he doesn't like carrying bums like Reggie. it was clear in 21-22 and it's clear now.
he's only going to have to play 3 1/2 minutes per half without Jamal in the playoffs.
trust the process.

Despite that, we were fine in the first half and even had a 23 point lead by 3Q. We ran out of gas due to tired legs from all the minutes logged the past four days. Spurs shot 52/45 for the game, better than that in 2H. We could not move to defend penetration or challenge long jumpers. Spurs got hot. Ballgame. It happens. And it made the Spurs season.

I don't think of it in terms of who can beat the Nuggets, as we are the best team in the league and will be even better once Mr. Malone frees himself of the Reggie Jackson anchor in the same manner he cut his beloved Will Barton loose in 2019 after Barton made it clear to him he was incapable of helping the team. I look at in terms of which team is more likely of triggering Murphy's law and that team is clearly the Phoenix Suns. and even though they might not beat us, they are capable of taking a figurative bite out of the Nuggets that will impact us for the rest of the run. The whole west bracket is that way. Physically, I think the pelicans have a far more suited roster to wear us out than the Suns. Only physical player phoenix has is Nurk, and once he gets in foul trouble, there’s no one. Suns can get hot for a game or two, and then absolutely melt down and lose by 25. And once things start going bad for the suns, they fold.

Pelicans don't have the experience or the elite upper tier talent to seriously challenge us, Phoenix has both. Ingram and Zion have 6 career playoff games between them.
I would love to play a CJ McCollum led team again. the last time we saw him, he lost to a Nugget team that was starting Facu Compazzo and Austin Rivers.

I would think last post season would be a more relevant metric, where we beat a similar Phoenix team. Rather than taking solace because we beat McCollum 3 years ago when he played for a different team.

last season, the Suns took two games from us and that was with a washed Chris Paul, DeAndre Ayton who was in the process of being bullied out of Phoenix and clearly gave up and role players like Payne, Shamet and Craig. they are significantly and substantially improved and are more capable "snowballing effecting" the Nuggets, such as putting us down 1-2 early and forcing us to play a 7 game series than the Pels are, in my opinion.

Not sure I agree. Their top scorers are not complementary and they still have not figured out what they are as an offense in the clutch…so they each do what they know..which is iso ball. Pelicans top 3 scorers are more complementary and average 65 pts total. Suns top 3 averages 73. Either way…I guess we’ll see. Maybe the Suns put it all together and make a run.

For those of you who want the Pels - I hope you're all correct.
I think the Pels have a lot of talent and represent the biggest wild card in the playoffs. Our game plan is straightforward with every team in the tourney except them.

Everyone is questionable.
Do you all think we’re just gonna accept 3rd place and rest our guys?

No guarantee Thunder will be the 2 seed

No guarantee Thunder will be the 2 seed There is literally no way this will happen. If anyone think Dallas will try and beat OKC which would shift them from the 1-seed and their higher seeded potential 2nd round path then they're crazy. They will literally lose on purpose, without making it blatant. The only reason to play the starters against Memphis - and it's a big one - is because it's quite likely Phoenix wins and you absolutely want home court vs Minnesota should you meet in rnd 2.

Memphis has tons of players out tomorrow including JJJ, but guys who played well against the Lakers in the last game include luminaries such as GG Jackson II, Jake LaRavia, and Scotty Pippen Jr. All appear available tomorrow, along with several two-way guys, including Jack White! In the end, it might be Jack White who knocks us out of any chance at top 2 seeding, lol.
Since all our regulars have now been downgraded to “questionable”, I think we are gonna play our backups and scrubs tomorrow, and try to win anyway against Memphis G-leaguers. Malone must be thinking it would be nice to get one of the top two seeds, but he isn’t about to risk the health of our rotation guys who are nursing stuff or are tired right now. He will take 3-seed to preserve health. Not the way I would have done it, but it might work out (to use a Peter Marshall Hollywood Squares line when someone didn’t pick Wally Cox or Paul Lynde. Yeah, I’m old).

Cavs tanking their chance at winning the division and the #2 seed so they can avoid Philly. That's crazy.
