Can't believe the Nuggets are actually in the finals. Have a real chance to do something special and give us all something we will never forget for the rest of our lives. Game 1 is an important one. Have to set the tone. Jokic has to be the best player in this series. Role players have to step up. Defense has to be on point. Do not over-help and give up corner 3s. That's where the Heat thrive.
LETS GO NUGGETS!!!!!!! IT'S OUR TIME!!!!!!!!!!

Still in disbelief this is happening. ENJOY THE MOMENT and HAVE FUN!if the Nuggets start the game on a cold streak, it doesn't mean rock is right. it means they haven't played in 4 years and will find their shooting rhythm eventually.

This is a must win game. Miami won game 1 against Milwaukee, NY Knicks and Boston Celtics.
Punch the Miami Heat in their mouth in the 1st quarter

Trap game. Everyone thinks Nuggets will win every quarter and win every game easily. This is the game we shake off rust, and it’s possible if not likely we will find ourselves down by double digits in the first half due to some cold outside shooting. I still expect us to win but don’t expect a cakewalk.
Ring, you need to promise to retire your “Fire Malone!” mantra and narrative forevermore, even if we lose in the Finals.

It's not a must win game. Come on. I almost wish they had dropped a home game and still won a series to not make their undefeated home record feel way more mythical than it needs to be. They've won a road game every series (two last series). Miami is far from unbeatable at home.
Should they win Game 1? Absolutely. They're the better team and Miami should be the more tired team. But Miami has lived and died on shooting and any team can get hot for a game. This team is a better 3 point shooting team in these playoffs than they've played, so we have to be comfortable riding shooting variance and doing what we do on both ends. AI beat Kobe and Shaq's Lakers in Game 1 in LA then never won again.
Keep your composure. Stay the course. The Finals, by all accounts, are a very different beast than even the conference finals. I could see some airballs or bad clanks out of the gate. The beauty of the Lakers series was their elite level calm even when they fell behind or things looked liked they might trend the other way.

Enjoy the Finals, guys. Zero point in being a Nuggets fan forever, during tough losses and misery, to not be able to take in the fresh air of the NBA Finals. They may never get back. It's extremely hard. The last two years show you how fleeting this stuff is.
Win game one, lose game one, keep some perspective. If you're going to be miserable during the ups and downs of a Finals series, I don't understand following sports so closely.
