It's too risky for Malone to adjust though. That's what it comes down to. He doesn't trust the other guys on the team and all it takes is a bad 3-4 minute stretch to end a playoff game. 8 man rotation is the way to go. CB and Jeff have to stop being dreadful. CB has been good on the defensive side of the ball, but Jeff is good for nothing except for taking occasional charges. I don’t expect that to change. I actually don't think Braun has been good at all on the defensive end the Lakers series so far. Jeffs been awful but that charge yesterday was a HUGE play. Takes the charge, stay up 1 instead of down 1 and then Murray hits a 3 to put us up 4. Lakers call timeout. Jeff just has to be better at recovering off of closeouts. He was beaten way too easily last night.

not if we sweep Calvin done a great job but he failed Malone with the bench Only so much stuff you can add though man. He added a starter, a sixth man and a seventh/eight man. Realistically he just needed to add one more piece. Missing on Jackson/Bryant hurts. Agreed, i do think they relied too much on Bones panning out

Nobody hits on 100% of their moves but of the guys he has brought in so far KCP - hit Brown - hit Braun - hit Ish - hit (locker room presence, lots of still young guards and wings on this squad for him to mentor) Jordan - hit (again, locker room presence) Bryant - bust Jackson - bust Watson - incomplete, but looks like a hit to me Gillespie - incomplete White - incomplete Kamagate - incomplete
It sucks that Reggie and Bryant didn't work out so well but I'm on board with everything else. I believe all five of the rookies he brought in will be on the 15 man roster next season and to me that's incredible considering they were drafted #21, #30, #46, undrafted, and undrafted.

It's not a guarantee that they'll move both Gillespie and White up to the main roster, but if they do we'll have 3 open two-way spots to fill.

He bet wrong, but I still think we're winning it all anyway.

Could/should have traded Bones earlier since he is a terrible player that used to ha e value
You can make the list as long as you want but after BB (+Jordan) and drafting Braun, hitting on the bones trade was the most important and both Reggie and Bryant so far look like flops

But trusting something, and it not working out (bones and reed) is risky and foolish considering our title window

He got us a starter, a sixth man, an 8th man, and completely overhauled our end of bench/prospects in one year. And we're up 2-0 in the Conference Finals. I'll give him a mulligan on the Bones/Reed/Bryant/Jackson bungle.

I don’t like how he “wasted” bones as an asset. That was a huge mistake.
Picking up Reggie isn’t much of a negative - those waiver pickups are often barely playable.
Our bench is going to need serious help next year. We may have a bottom 5 bench in the league
Our best selling point is jokic increasing players values and we seem to have a pretty good track record with undrafted guys and turning them into rotation players. May be able to find a couple guys that way.
But I’m trying to not to think about the bench stuff rn. We have bigger issues currently

If Christian Braun scores 14 points tomorrow Malone might open mouth kiss him right there on the court.

That leaves 21 points by Jokic, Murray, MPJ, and Gordon combined. I’ll take the other side of that bet.

I don’t get it. Beating the lakers is going to be insanely tough
Then beating the heat/Celtics 4 times?
-120 is throwing money away.
I’d still put our odds under 25%.

We have a 2-0 lead, the home court, the best player on planet earth, and playoff Murray. The Lakers are toast. And unless the Celtics win 4 out of the next 5 including at least 2 on the road, the Nuggets will have the home court in the Finals too.
