Dear Pussies:
Part of the work we are doing within my company is developing algorithms for various functions. If I were to analyze an algorithm that predicts whether the Lakers win, my critical points of analysis would be:
1. How many days of rest did the Lakers get?
2. How many mins did Lebron and AD play the last game?
RESULTS:
- 4 days of rest -
April 16:
Lakers blowout Grizzlies
(Davis & Lebron sub-40 mins)
- 2 days of rest -
April 19:
Grizzlies beat Lakers
(Davis & Lebron upper 30 mins)
- 2 days of rest -
April 22:
Lakers decisively beat Grizzlies
(Davis and Lebron upper 30 mins)
- 1 day of rest -
April 24:
Lakers beat Grizzlies in OT
(Davis and Lebron over 40 mins)
- 1 day of rest -
April 26:
Grizz blow out Lakers
(Davis and Lebron sub-40 mins)
- 1 day of rest -
April 28:
Lakers blow out Grizzlies bigly
(Davis and Lebron barely 30 mins each)
- 3 days of rest -
May 2:

END RESULTS REGARDING PLAYOFFS:
1. Every time Lebron and AD play 40 mins or above, the Lakers don't just lose the next game - they get BLOWN OUT.
2. With the exception of one game (May 10 - Lebron got to 40 mins, but not Davis), the Lakers only win when Lebron and Davis both stay under 40 mins played, in the last game.
3. Oddly - the "days of rest" don't really show major correlative value - but - GS was a very old team too, so it's fair to say that such a thing didn't matter.
The way to beat the Lakers is to make sure AD and Lebron play 40 mins. That's what the analytics dictate. If they play under 35 mins, you are giving them their best shot at blowing you out.
Malone clearly read the analytics. Do you seriously think Malone is going to leave Jeff Green in for almost the entire 4th quarter, in Game 1 of the western conference finals?
Malone took a massive risk last night. With a 21 point lead, he let the Lakers back into the game, to drain AD and Lebron, with faith that our guys would make shots when we needed to (and they came through!).
When Lebron and AD both play 40 mins or more, they lose the next game - simple as that. The chess match, shockingly, is to keep AD and Lebron on the floor - technically, this includes NOT getting them into foul trouble.
Ideally, you want to run up a big lead, and then let the Lakers naively chip away at it. If the Lakers are winning, critical to keep the game close, so AD and Lebron expound as many mins as possible.
Rest easy guys. Today is going to go well - and hopefully Malone continues his master chess strategy.

2 more things:
1. The Lakers had tired legs from the get-go during Game 1. Somehow they found some energy - but for a team with 3 days rest, they looked fatigued.
2. Which gets me to Darvin Ham - he knows his team is fatigued. They can't make it 7 games, and he knows it. He foolhardedly went for the steal in Game 1, because he knows, the longer this series runs, the more the Lakers will lose footing.
I honestly think the series was won on Tuesday night, with the Lakers overplaying Lebron and AD and losing. Their strategy of "steal one" in denver, and win both in LA is now blown up.

watched Jason Timpf today. he rewatch the game, and found out astonishing thing. that epic adjustment Ham did to put Hachimura on Fatty? 3 good defense for Lakers. out of which two ended up with turnovers cause Jokic just threw bad pass and one Jokic had bad shot... there was also wide open 3 for KCP and Jokic attacking rim for 2 FT.
so let me repeat the only real adjustment that Nuggets needs to worry about. LeBron killing them from pnr. thats it. find a way to slow down LeBron James(again, no one is stopping LeBron, not even father time, but you can slow him down), we win game 2 easy. and the best way to slow down LBJ? 100% effort.

GREAT things happening... 7 to go!!! If they continue to play as they can and as they are capable of, Championship is theirs to lose. They already showed that they have the team to go all the way and that they were not No1. team in the west 'by accident' . Keep strong nuggets. P.S. Had some unfortunate events recently (job) and been preoccupied, so not much time to post here  , but reading a lots of your comments and enjoying games as you do guys. |

all I ask from Malone is he get AG moving offensively. have him screen for Jamal, have him run PnR with Joker etc. when you involve him in the offense outside of just sitting in the dunker spot, Anthony Davis is no longer patrolling the paint and any small Ham puts on Joker becomes BBQ Chicken, Erneh.
