Big muthergrabbin HB to the incomparable, Rock. 3 weeks from now, I hope to hear this from you Our roster will be trashed now that we won the championship. Bruce Brown is leaving and we are finished. When other teams win it all, they get ring chasers. Not us, we just have players leaving. The curse is real. Nobody will fall farther, faster from a championship then we will. Also, did you notice our championship rings are smaller than the Lakers? Thanks! And I think I’ll be ok if all of that happens. Except Bruce leaving. Love that dude

I said from the start that the KD trade made PHX far worse. I looked it up, and this is true. GBG, scooter, aussie, Ring, fami, and game were all also pretty skeptical about the Suns in the trade deadline thread. You were the most vocal and direct about how they got considerably worse though. I appreciate that, fam! It was an easy analysis for me. Father Time has caught Durant. Nba pundits don’t want to admit it, but it’s obvious to anyone who saw 10 mins of him in action this last season. If phx doesn’t do that trade, we win this series in 6 or 7 with no blowout wins - all single digits. I had said from the start that minny was a tougher series for us and it’s true. I know phx took 6 games - but of our 4 wins against minny, one was a blowout, the rest were close. Phx? 3 of the 4 wins we’re annihilations. If Jamal doesn’t get sick, it’s a straight sweep, each victory likely double digits (maybe Monty gets one win from creative adjustments). I popped champagne bottles when phx traded for Durant because they didn’t just phuck themselves this season - they’ve phucked themselves for the next four years. Cp3 eventually comes off the books, meaning phx could have afforded cam and Mikal - along with Ayton and book, that’s a team that can shoot 3’s, play defense, and beat you up a bit in the paint. They would have likely been our biggest competitor over these next 3 years - instead, they literally butchered themselves and saddled their cap with KD. This series was proof.

6:30 starts are GLORIOUS !!!! Thank god !!! Happy Birthday Rock !!! You, me, Duh, GBG, and Scooter are the resident old farts, with me being the oldest (I believe, and sorry if I forgot an old fart or two) If anyone wonders where I am during games this year, I reconnected with two old friends I've known for 57 years who are both hardcore Nuggets fans, and I text with both during games, in addition to here and "the other place". My fingers are falling off texting. Wish I could crank them out like kids are capable of. 100% - grateful that I’ve at least met you, uncle, and GBG. Hoping I get to meet more of you in time.

BTW, does anyone else think that “the Suns have a depth problem” is a bullshit way for the media to avoid blaming their big money/star players? Personally, I think that guys like Payne and Landale and Okogie and Shamet and Craig are very decent role/bench players and held up their end of the bargain in the playoffs. Its seems to me much more that their $138 mil core of Paul, Booker, Durant and Ayton is the problem. A totally healthy Suns team might have won this series. In contrast, we were healthy (though with bumps and bruises to Murray and Jokic). Missing two starters last night was too much for the Suns to overcome. Zach Lowe is not having the Suns’ excuses/rationalizations and thinks the Suns lost because the Nuggets are freaking awesome.

Duh, I agree. Very happy to have met you, GBG, Scooter, and Rock, on this forum, and others who rarely or never post these days dating back to 1996.

GBG, scooter, aussie, Ring, fami, and game were all also pretty skeptical about the Suns in the trade deadline thread. You were the most vocal and direct about how they got considerably worse though. My view was they gave themselves a one year(ish) chance — a boost for this season and maybe with a lot of luck next season — while likely hurting their team for the ensuing 4-5 years. Since I couldn’t remember any team swinging a trade for a star in February and winning it all that season, it seemed highly unlikely to pay off in that way. And if they want or wanted to give this group another go next season, they’d be doing it with a 38 year old Paul and 35 year Durant and a disgruntled Ayton, so what are the odds that was going to work? And for those small shots at big winning, they traded a lot — all the draft picks, plus a 26 year old borderline all-star in Bridges (I see him as a SF version of Jrue Holiday — good on offense, great on defense) on a bargain contract for 3 more years, plus a great role player in Cam Johnson who has a career 60% TS% and is a RFA this summer. Maybe they didn’t want to pay Johnson what they thought his market value would be this summer (and he is 27) — as with Ayton — but in my mind his restricted rights are worth plenty. The Suns gave up on a good, mostly young team (Booker 26, Bridges 26, Ayton 24, Johnson 27, Shamet 26, Payne 28, to go with elder statesman Paul) that would have had a significant runway for improvement through drafting and free agency and trading for not over the hill players (or at least not at very high cost).

Vlatko maybe should get a few minutes when we get in foul trouble. Guy is strong as an ox, he can make LBJ feel him.

Who is guarding Joker? You know AS wants no piece of him and, even if he did, Joker pulling him out to the perimeter greatly diminishes their defense.

I’m not worried about jokic getting his I’m worried about reeves, dlo, rui, walker etc each getting 10-15 and hitting 3s all game long. Those will kill us

He could win them a game by getting absurdly hot if we overlook him.

So now we're concerned about Reaves as nobody really believes that Jamal or MPJ will finally be able to beat those scrubs lol?
