And I doubt it's gonna be that difficult, no matter who we play. These two teams were 6th and 7th in the regular season, they gonna be tired and they have no personnel to guard Jokic. And not like this Me too, but I'm a fan and I don't belive in jinx bullshit.

6:30 starts are GLORIOUS !!!! Thank god !!!
Happy Birthday Rock !!! You, me, Duh, GBG, and Scooter are the resident old farts, with me being the oldest (I believe, and sorry if I forgot an old fart or two)
If anyone wonders where I am during games this year, I reconnected with two old friends I've known for 57 years who are both hardcore Nuggets fans, and I text with both during games, in addition to here and "the other place". My fingers are falling off texting. Wish I could crank them out like kids are capable of.

6:30 MT literally is the worst.
Get up at 2:30 AM, watch the game, have 1.5 hrs more of sleep if I’m not mad as f**k. Go to work. Every second day? Nice.

Nice. haven't slept at all, on my double digit coffee today, not sure of the exact amount Generally for the 4am I just get 4-ish hours of sleep and wake up early, 2-3am really sucks

I said from the start that the KD trade made PHX far worse. I looked it up, and this is true. GBG, scooter, aussie, Ring, fami, and game were all also pretty skeptical about the Suns in the trade deadline thread. You were the most vocal and direct about how they got considerably worse though.

I was probably the first and maybe even only one who said the suns would be much worse after the KD trade when it happened. To me, it was so f***ing obvious. Take a lap fatty

I'll admit I was rock-esque when it came to the Suns after the KD trade first went down.
the NBA is a stars league and the image of Ayton setting a pick for Paul with Durant and Booker on either wing was a formidable one. I know fami considers it a miracle when Paul is able to get out of bed in the morning, but I thought he would excel in a "Denver-era Billups" role with the lesser workload. I did not know he was solidly in his "Clippers-era Billups" role instead and wasn't going to change the series even if healthy. I did not know Ayton was going to be a victim of a state-wide bullying campaign in Arizona. I knew the Suns supporting cast would be thread-bare, but not "2002 Kiki holding open tryouts" level bad.
so yeah, take a lap Suns truthers.

This version of the Suns had the potential to be a really bad matchup for one playoff series, if we got their best. As a round 1 matchup with all of their players recently rested, it's possible they could have run Booker/KD 40+ mpg and kept their key guys on the court for the whole series and not run out of gas, and depending on the whistle that could have been a series L for us. But they definitely ran out of gas, and CP0 hurt himself trying to kick a leg out to keep KCP from getting a putback, and Ayton is soft AF, and the Nuggets have really loaded up on defenders (AG kept KD as in-check as KD can be kept) and it was really a pretty easy series. Average win was by 17.25 points; series as a whole we outscored them by +9.5 per game, which is the scoring margin you'd expect from like Celtics-v-Pacers or more generally a 55+ win team vs a 40-win team.

Everyone underrates Ayton, especially Suns fans. We saw how much he was missed last night. Jokic totally controlled the first half, with a big boost from KCP.

Ayton is one of the few players who can actually give Jokic problems defensively, and that alone makes him worth having on a roster. But he also shies away from playing physical on offense if he's been physical on defense. If he'd been pushing Joker on both ends all game long for the series, even though Joker is bigger and stronger, it could have taken a toll. But dude takes a lot of midrange shots -- something like 70% of his shots this series were from 3-16 feet. Most of them were like, Jokic is defending at 6 feet so imma just take this jumper from 9 feet. No physicality, and therefore really not much wear on Joker.

Ayton is pretty fast and coordinated for his size. He also has great touch. And he can guard Jokic decently. But he isn't typical center who will bruise you inside. Just not his playstyle. He also have glass hands. btw, for everyone who thought Nuggets will get fair cover on sport shows? well, they still shows first, so main question is why didn't KD played better, what should Suns do now and how 'bout that Lakers-Warriors game 6. here and there they say Nuggets can win championship... well, no s**t Colombo, they are one of 4 remaining teams, I'd say they have a chance. also, there is a notion that 3 best players are KD, Booker and Jokic and Nuggets have next 5-6. I'm pretty sure no one said Jokic is clearly better then KD and Booker. he didn't outplay them, they choked and Monty didn't put them in position to succeed. if Nuggets beat Lakers/GSW and then went to win title, you might hear Jokic is good. not great ofc, he isn't dunking over people, he isn't running around like crazy yelling Kooooooooooooooooobeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, he isn't offending other players... he is just too boring for TV to be great.

It’s going to take everything we have to beat them.
