If we play the Celtics (and we’ll win) I will blame JB. Miami was up 3-0 and JB and his “karma magic” wished that we continue the heroic narrative against and beat the Celtics. f***ing JB and his voodoo wishes. That said - I think the heat will take the Celtics - but either way, we’re going to win the finals. famicommander also wanted the Celtics to win games 4 and 5

The best possible scenario is that the Heat win game 7 on Monday and travel directly to Denver. We deserved some god things going our way

I truly expected us to win a ring this year (been clear about that all season) but i never expected us to face an 8th seed in the finals. We dont need to face Heat. Just do what we do

we're good bro.
giving the Nuggets rest is like giving Batman prep time. we're very hard to beat with that advantage.
the only risk from either team is the Nuggets underestimating the Heat and celebrating too early. they won't underestimate the team with HCA.

Sorry, JB, you’re just wrong on this. Denver deserves up to four Finals games at home after waiting nearly a half century for this event to occur. If we face Boston, then they can get up to the four home games. They had their championship already in this century. Time for Denver not only to have their NBA Title, but to witness as many home games as possible, if the series goes seven.

Regarding scooter claim that Celtics auto-win game 7: Not true. Gave Vincent is the reason the heat are struggling. If he comes back for game 7 with good health, the heat win. That wouldn’t have been me. The Celtics are quite capable of laying an egg in any game.

today is the 15th year anniversary of the Pistons winning their last playoff games.
since trading Chauncey, the Pistons have made the playoffs three times. all first round sweeps.
and no rock, a fluke ring 20 years ago doesn't make it all worth it.

What? I would 100% rather have the pistons history over ours. A title does make it worth it.

Enjoy is subjective. A title is also very enjoyable

mostly because the Lakers were imploding for a variety of reasons and the Pistons took advantage.

mostly because the Lakers were imploding for a variety of reasons and the Pistons took advantage. Detroit has a magnificent history as a franchise. We’d all be happy campers if we’re able to match their legacy of the Bad Boys, and the second era of Chauncey, Rip, and Prince. Maybe we are about to make our own legacy this year and in coming years, but to diminish what Detroit has done isn’t right. I will also say I think Detroit will have another golden era in the not too distant future.

from the 80s to early 2000s, the Pistons were an elite franchise as any.
but I promise you there are very few Piston fans that look at the sorry state of affairs of their ball club today and think "this is more tolerable because we won a championship 20 years ago"

I don’t get the Pistons point. Ya the ring was flukey due to Kobe/Shaq fighting but they made the finals the next year and the conference finals a few years straight after that. That’s an awesome run.
I’ll take a decade of shitty basketball if we finally get our ring and this core enjoys a stretch of playoff success. I’d get the argument with like the Wolves.
Ring or bust for the Jokic era IMO.
