Agree. A big yet undiscussed factor in the Nuggets going 12-3 in the playoffs so far is offensive game plan discipline. Porter in particular has really impressed me with his discipline, which is why he is averaging only 0.5 turnovers with a 3.5:1 A/To ratio through 15 playoff games. Every Nuggets player is doing a great job of playing the way that maximizes the team’s chance to win. The Celtics — despite having a ton of talent — are still figuring it out. Still “figuring it out”? Or maybe they’re simply in a postseason slump. distinction without a difference. the Celtics let the 41 win Hawks take two games from them, including one in the vaunted TD Gardens. they were down 2-3 to the 76ers. in game 6 Tatum played one of the worst 3 1/2 quarters of basketball I've ever seen, going 1/14 from the field before redeeming himself in crunch time. any other team would've closed the chapter on Boston's season then and there and not give Tatum the opportunity to steal the game, but the Cs were lucky enough to play a team manned by two Foul Merchants that play at the mercy of the refs whistle. and they infamously went down 0-3 to the 7th seed Heat. this is one of the most inconsistent, least impressive ECF runs in recent memory, very similar to the time Derozan and Lowry managed to finesse their way to the conference finals that one time. only the Raptors had the misfortune of running into LeBronto in the conference finals, while the Celtics don't have the luxury on falling back on that excuse.

Every Nuggets player is doing a great job of playing the way that maximizes the team’s chance to win. The Celtics — despite having a ton of talent — are still figuring it out. Still “figuring it out”? Or maybe they’re simply in a postseason slump. I think you and others are forgetting that Boston finished as the 2-seed in the better conference this season, with 57 wins. They had the 2nd ranked offensive rating and 3rd ranked defensive rating in the NBA. They ranked 1st in point differential at +6.5 ppg. This is a team that has “figured it out” and simply has been having tougher than expected struggles against their opponents in postseason. If they find themselves to the extent that they win four straight to advance to Finals, after being down 0-3, fatigue won’t be an issue. They’ll be on such a high and have the adrenaline sufficient to sweep us in Games 1 and 2 at home in the Finals. Go Heat! Thanks Rock Jr. The Celtics have enough talent to win a lot. But yes, the fact they got behind 3-0 against this Heat team is further evidence they are still “figuring it out.” IMO, the thing that really hasn’t been figured out is the role Brown should play (or if he should be on this team at all). He made the all-NBA 2nd team because he scores a lot and piles up numbers and is a good defender. But all-NBA voters don’t do the deep dive and realize that a 1:1 A/To ratio for a “star” 2/3 with high usage is really really bad. Two years in a row, when the Celtics get deeper in the playoffs, they lose a bunch of games in large part because they lose the possession game and using Brown as one of the team’s two “stars” is a significant part of that. That’s a problem they haven’t really figured out on a consistent basis.

Brogdon's injury is being undersold. He only played 8 minutes in game 5 and has shot 23% from the field since he injured it in game 1. A torn tendon isn't going to heal anytime soon.

People keep ignoring the most important part
We lost home court.
4 home games against miami Vs 3 home games against Boston
We have to win in Boston and at the same time win all 3 home games
Near impossible

Regarding scooter claim that Celtics auto-win game 7: Not true. Gave Vincent is the reason the heat are struggling. If he comes back for game 7 with good health, the heat win.
Regarding GBG’s doomerism: The reason Boston wins is because, their first-unit feasts, and then brogdon comes in and scorches your second unit. It’s a never-ending barrage. Brogdon is literally one-armed right now and can’t shoot 3’s.
Without Brogdon, the Celtics don’t have that scary aspect to them that made them great. Im sorry to see Brogdon down, but you guys are underplaying his importance to their formula.

You wanna talk odds?
The Celtics are favored to win game 6 at Miami, but the Heat are the favorites to win the series. How much sense does that make?

People keep ignoring the most important part We lost home court. 4 home games against miami Vs 3 home games against Boston We have to win in Boston and at the same time win all 3 home games Near impossible Atlanta won in Boston. Philadelphia won in Boston twice. Miami won in Boston twice. We won in Minnesota. We won in Phoenix. We won in Los Angeles twice. We are undefeated at home. Boston has no way to deal with Jokic. If they try to stop him the way they stopped Embiid he'll end up with 25 assists in a game.

there's only one player in Nugget history that could will us to victory against the Celtic juggernaut and we let him go...
why Tim, why.

If we play the Celtics (and we’ll win) I will blame JB.
Miami was up 3-0 and JB and his “karma magic” wished that we continue the heroic narrative against and beat the Celtics.
f***ing JB and his voodoo wishes.
That said - I think the heat will take the Celtics - but either way, we’re going to win the finals.

this is an all-time run.
I want this run to be remembered like the 2011 Mavs, where each round increased in gravitas and each time Dirk and the Mavs rose to the challenge.
I don't want this run to be remembered like Duncan's first ring, where they met the feisty 8th seed Knicks that history views as a fluke. don't get me wrong, #1 Larry Johnson fan but the Spurs beating the AI 76ers or the Miller Pacers en route to their first championship would've been more historic.
so yeah, I'm Bill Simmons jr right now.

Lest we forget, "The ball deserves to go in the stands after a bullshit move like that" after Murray roasted Kyrie and the Celts.
Denver sports teams typically lose to a who's who of blue blood franchises. Just knocked off the long impossible Lakers challenge. May be fitting it would have to be Boston.
I think Miami wins in 6, though.

Brothers, I just want the damn banner, with path of least resistance.
I also feel like a dynasty is emerging anyways, so we’re going to have a nice history here of beating up multiple franchises.
Let’s not forget - the 2011 mavs were steps away from multi retirements - our guys are super young. Plenty of time to destroy multiple franchises - for now, I just want our f***ing banner.

Benefit of Miami is a less talented roster. Benefit of Boston is the far worse coach.
Miami is tough as hell. Boston is extremely versatile. Most have considered Boston the best team in the league all year.
Tiebreaker for me is I want home court. Not that we can't win in Boston, or that Miami can't win in Denver. The city deserves home court.
