I want game 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals at Ball Arena in Denver, not Boston. Since Boston is a legacy team like the LA Lakers, the officiating would most likely be one-sided and we may see corrupt refs like Scott Foster/Tony Brothers/Marc Davis/etc
Take no risk. Go Miami Heat

I don’t see Heat winning game 5 at all. Their scrubs will bow down same as against Hawks. There is a reason why they were #8 seed. Game 6 will be huge for both teams and then we'll see the mentality of both teams

I will say this. If the 0-150 streak of futility for teams down 0-3 is ever to be broken, this is the perfect setup. Boston is hungry to redeem themselves as the superior team (a one-seed versus an eight-seed that needed to win the second play-in game just to get into the dance). They have Game 5 at home. If they win as expected, they’re down 2-3 with one road and one home game if necessary. Miami would likely play very tight in Game 6 even with the home crowd, and it would likely take another transcendent game by Butler to win in fourth quarter. If they choke it, Game 7 in Boston will be very likely a Celtics win.
And then we lose home court and are underdogs in Finals, even as the more rested team. Celtics would have all the momentum at the start of series. Then the pressure is on us.
I’m contradicting myself, of course. Upthread I said NO WAY this goes past six games. But I’ve been wrong before, and so this scenario needs to be recognized.

momentum is overrated. the Celtics had all the "momentum" after mollywopping the 76ers and fell flat on their face against the Heat. the Lakers had all the "momentum" after defeating the defending champs and got swept.
momentum may exist against a specific opponent but it does not transfer series to series.

There is no way I would ever trade 10 days of rest to some momentum and one day of rest. Playing literally 7 men rotation all guys need rest before finals showdown starts

Braun will get more minutes in the Finals. The Lakers had a lot more size to deal with than the Heat which necessitated more Jeff Green than anybody was comfortable with. The Heat have no size and a ton of shooters so it should be back to an 8 man rotation.

While I'd probably rather play the Heat, lets not act like the Celticsa are some great offensive juggernaut! Brown is a 33% 3 PT shooter, Smart is a 33% 3 PT shooter. Robert Williams is 6-9 and Al Horford is old. Horford hasn't shot the 3 Ball well all playoffs. They have multiple guys we can sag off and help onto Brown and Tatum driving. On the flip side, they will most likely try and do what LAL and MIN did and keep Williams as a help man with somebody else on Jokic, but those guys don't scare me as much as LAL when they were doing it, and we've seen it all playoffs and our scoring has been elite with teams doing it to us. Guys they don't play a guy over 6-9! We gotta stop stressing.

Atlanta, Philadelphia (twice), and Miami (twice) have won playoff games in Boston this year but it's not possible for the Nuggets?
Classic rock.

We matchup horribly with them

Boston has a losing record at home in the playoffs this year. You've asked an irrelevant question. We lost all our road games against the Lakers and Suns this regular season too.

Previous years don't matter, because we have way better defensive players this year then we've had in years past. On top of that, we played them one time in November at Boston this year. With Murray not fully 100% from his ACL tear. Not really a telling game IMO.
