I'll say this though, the league probably doesn't give a f**k who wins so we'll get an evenly called series. Yes! The only story the NBA may try is "underdog" Miami Heat as the 8th seed ...otherwise, it should be even

I'll worry about the Heat or the Finals once the Nuggets get their 4th win. Series isn't over.

Probably the smartest thing lol I don't think anything's going to be easy or anybody's going to hand us anything. L.A could push back and Miami could continue the miracle run. Maybe even Boston somehow stops choking. Just think it's the first time ever that were the best team left. That in theory if things go as they should we'll have HCA. It's hard to contain the excitement because that's a pretty rare situation to be in especially for a franchise like the Nuggets.

Sorry, but a team that won 44 games and had to play two play-in games to reach playoffs is not going to win the championship, barring some unforeseen injury to Jokic or Murray.
Lakers would beat them. We will beat them.

they could certainly beat the Nuggets if the Nuggets adopt the mentality of some of its fanbase right now and think there's no way they could lose.
the Heat feed on teams underestimating them.

Yeah, right. I was the guy, just to remind you, that forecasted the Lakers series to go 7 games. I take no team lightly, but live in reality. And the reality of the Heat is that they can beat us…once, twice, maybe three times. But it would be very rare for a team of their caliber to win a game 7 on the road. With good health, we win this series. With good health and luck, we sweep them. It is that simple.

Rebounds are the biggest difference I see. We have been getting more rebounds against teams with much better frontlines.

Lol the rebounding advantage is good, but the Heat are making more 3s per game at the same clip as the Nuggets. buckle up. it's going to be the toughest series of the playoffs.

Okay Boston, take a few games for us before you roll over and die. That’s would be scary. Boston could be the one team to come back from 0-3 to win a series. With Lakers loss tonight, such teams are 0-150 in NBA playoff history.

My flash thoughts on the Heat:
(Bear in mind - my main focal point for sports is Colorado sports history)
1. HEAT SWEEP: If the Heat sweep the Celts, I'm good with it - it means both teams go into the Finals with too much rest (lol) and rust (as GBG alluded - we don't want a 2007 situation like the Rockies had against Boston). But - Jimmy Butler is 33. I don't mind if the Celts give him one or two more games. I don't trust a 33-year-old to blow us out.
2. HEAT OVERRATED: Do you guys remember the 1996 Stanley Cup Finals? Avalanche vs Florida (Miami) Panthers? The Panthers were the burgeoning team that came from obscurity, boasting John Vanbiesbrouck (remember him? Hockey commentators treated him like he was f***ing god) and the "TRAP" defense of Florida. Lol. We destroyed them... and we'll destroy the Miami Heat.
3. JIMMY BUTLER: Love Jimmy. Love his game. Love the dog in him. But Aaron Gordon and KCP have now defeated: Devin Hooker, Durant, Anthony Edwards, Lebron - of those four, three of them have the ability to drive and shoot 3's with ease. Jimmy can drive - he can't shoot 3's. He has less dimension that the other four. Again - I love Jimmy Butler. But after the defense I've seen KCP, AG and even MPJ put on the other four, I'm not scared of Jimmy Butler. At all.
4. SIZE: Fami has already made this point - but the Heat literally have NO SIZE. I don't think there's even a 7-footer on their team? It wouldn't surprise me if Jovic and Zeller get major mins in this series, just to counter our size.
5. THE FLU: I think all of our players are finally f***ing finished with being sick - lol. This flu is what cost us PHX Game 3 and 4 - almost cost us a few games against the Lakers.
6. GENERAL SPORTS KARMA: Some of you from the Nuggpuppy board remember our beloved poster, Rooster - Roost often talked about sports karma, and the karma cities have against each other. The Avalanche beat Miami in the Stanley Cup Finals (and also Tampa Bay last summer). Broncos have a losing records against the Dolphins - but - we have a massive beatdown against them, in the playoffs. Generally - Colorado teams don't just beat Florida teams when pitted against them in the playoffs - we pulverize them.
Miami's game is to have Jimmy play PG - if he gets doubled, he passes to a [insert name of tall white guy] who is wide open (as a result of the double-team) and scores a 3. Won't happen against us - we don't need to double Jimmy. So - we will swallow their offense.
3-pointers often get missed. Our size will gobble rebounds.
Miami's defense can't hold up against Murray/Jokic/MPJ and others - it is a "pick your poison" situation for them.
I'm still debating whether the TWolves or the Lakers were a harder opponent for us? The Heat are going to be our second least-hardest team we face in the playoffs (although, kinda unfair, because there's a major gap between Heat and Suns).
With that - I'll go on a ledge and say Jimmy has one ultra-Thanos game -
Nuggets in 5.

The longer it takes for Miami to get to Denver, the more of an advantage the altitude will be in game 1. Miami needs game 1, which they've won in all three series so far.
That's the biggest reason I want Boston to extend the series. Keep Miami down at sea level for as long as possible.

Boston is +650 to win the series down 3-0 What? Lakers were +1400 Boston is way, way better than LA and the Heat are way, way worse than Denver. At least on paper. They're not going to come back from 3-0 regardless, though.
