even though watching Embiid humiliate himself in the second round is a time honored tradition, if the league starts dreaming about a Boston/LA finals, it's bad news for the Nuggets. let's go Heat. So now the league is guilty for Embiid's bad game lol. "if" implies future tense. it's not your fault, english isn't your first language.

Nah I know exactly what you meant oh that's right, I'm a closet Embiid stan... all because I didn't want Jokic to win a worthless award that Jokic himself doesn't give a s**t about and put unneeded stress on this teams shoulders.

I genuinely wonder if any of the high-profile commentators who talk about Jokic never having playoff success are going to have anything to say about this. Probably not. It's downright hilarious given the expectations Jokic had without Murray/MPJ and Jokic actually showed up.

Embiid had Harden, Maxey, Harris, Tucker, Niang, Melton, etc. Jokic had Gordon, Monte, Facu, Barton, Forbes, J Myke, Cousins and Bones. Like holy s**t at that talent discrepency.

Embiid and Harden were both horrible. I don’t which one was worse.
This version of the 76ers is terribly slow and predictable, and the fact this series went 7 games is unflattering to the Celtics.

Harden was awful for the last 3 games of this series, there's no doubt about that, but he also won 2 games in the series by himself. Embiid was the best player in maybe one game of this entire series.

Embiid was the best player in maybe one game of this entire series. Embiid is injured but in the 2nd half of that game he looked like he was terrified to touch the ball. The game was tied 58-58 and Embiid just refused to take over the game. It's a really tough look for him. Harden is what he is. I thought he was fantastic in the 1st half even though his numbers wouldn't show it. He generated so many wide open 3s for his teammates in corners. The flagrant really was the turning point in the game though.

It has happened every single year of his pro and college career, usually multiple times per year. Injured Embiid is the real Embiid.

Of course but that game and series was absolutely not on Doc. He made adjustments in the 2nd half. He even tried going to a zone. Boston was obliterating them no matter what defense they played and Harden/Embiid s**t the bed. Doc is going to get fired but in some games, there's nothing a coach can do. That was a pathetic performance by Embiid on both ends.

2 years ago, Embiid blamed Simmons. Last year, he pointed out that James was no longer the Houston Rocket James Harden. Now he throws nearly everyone else under the bus except Harden who, hopefully, is Houston bound
Clutch Points: “I can’t win alone. Me and James [Harden], we just can’t win alone. That’s why basketball is played 5-on-5.” Joel Embiid after the Sixers’ Game 7 loss to the Celtics

Me and James [Harden], we just can’t win alone They combined for 24 points on 29 shots, 14 reb, 8 ast, 5 stocks, and 9 turnovers in an elimination game. In game 5 vs the Warriors last year, Jokic had 30 points on 18 shots, 19 reb, 8 ast, 3 stocks, and 6 turnovers. But sure, the problem is Embiid and Harden's teammates. They're pulling their weight entirely.

Tatum played and carried his team just like Embiid should’ve done, but nope.

They're pulling their weight entirely. Yup. It won't matter tho which was obvious when nobody added context to why Jokic wasn't making deep playoff runs the past 2 years. It'll always be ring or bust for Jokic. Even this season. Jokic could go off for 50 every game and the Nuggets lose in 7 and he'll still catch heat. Yet Embiid won't get crushed near as much as he should. Embiid should get destroyed for this playoff performance all offseason/next season long. Embiid straight up choked. The best part of his game in the regular season is by far and away his aggressive/dominant nature scoring the ball. People love to point out his defense and compare it to Jokic but his scoring mentality is really the only thing that stands out to me vs Jokic. Jokic IMO could easily average 30 a night if he wanted too. Yet come playoff time that part of Embiid's game shrinks .. and Jokic elevates. Which is why I guess I'm not super bitter about the MVP. Let Embiid average 30 in the regular season because he can't do it when it actually matters. Also it's hilarious after all the interviews/obsession/how much he cares about the award .. when he actually got it he fell apart completely.

Al Horford took his lunch money and put bubblegum in his hair. That's what happened. Embiid didn't have the dog in him to battle with a 36 year old, 6'9" power forward.
