Probably the most nervous/excited I’ve been for a Nuggets playoff run ever.
I honestly don’t even care who we face. Just that we see the best version of the Nuggets. That team can beat anybody in the West. Really hope they can flip that switch.

I almost want to face the lakers. Two grueling play in games against decent teams - and then they have to face altitude. They already have tired legs.
I think LA will beat minny. NO will beat okc.
Minny vs NO is a coin flip in minny - but I think we’re going to NO. They’ll be on terribly tired legs, which bodes well for us (but they’re still not my first choice).

I didn’t realize this benefit with the first seed, but the first seed gets to play a team that’s had to do 2 play-ins; whereas 7th faces a one game play in opponent.
Pretty massive difference considering the tight scheduling.

I said just post-deadline that my ideal bracket with Nuggets in 1 would be Kings/Clips in the 4/5, any Northwest team in 8, and missing the Suns/Grizz/Warriors/Lakers until the WCF. We're just one "Suns are kinda disappointing and didn't separate themselves from the pack" and two play-in games away from that.

I've tried to come up with scenarios on how the Sun can lose to the Clippers and it seems basically impossible without PG13. Clippers have a ton of depth but they just don't have the firepower to compete with Booker/KD |

The Clips path to victory is another KD injury (a CP3 injury is already a given), but unfortunately for them a Kawhi injury is just as likely.

Fellas - I just don't see it with the Suns. Those two games against our bench - it seems when you actually play defense against them, they fall apart.
It's a tossup for me on who is going to win between Clips and Suns. I'll take Clips, but either way - I'm salivating about facing either.

I don't really care who we face next. In order to be a championship winning team you need to beat the best so... cmon. I know last few weeks we have been "meeeh", but this team has shown us through out the season that they can beat anyone, absolutely ANYONE so... let the Play Off begin  |

If you want to be the champs, you have to beat four teams in series. None of the teams are bad. Some of the teams are really good. But some teams are better matchups for you than others. Some teams will grind you down and leave you with tired legs for the next round even if you win. Some teams are close enough that they could fluke into a series win if a couple guys get hot, while other teams would be lucky to take it to 6. So I do want a favorable bracket, not because I'm like "we're not a contender but I hope we get lucky" but because I think we are a contender if we flip the switch and I'd rather get to each round in the best shape possible.

Again - my concerns that Malone has never been able to gameplan well against Brandon Ingram remain my largest concern. In addition - the TWolves are a good team when they catch their stride. It’s ultimately why I actually want to play the lakers. I just don’t see their legs lasting well, especially at altitude. |

The Suns are overrated |

I'd like to think the Nuggets can get past any other western conference team. No need to dodge anyone. But then again. everyone knows the Lakers get the whistle and James/AD are still a formidable opponent. Same with the Warriors and Suns. They got some old dudes, but they all still play at a high level when healthy.
Bottom line is I'm pumped for whoever we face. The Nuggets have shown they can beat anyone, but it's time to prove it.

Well I’m excited to play the Lakers. We have a lot of bad history against them and this team isn’t s**t. If we struggle with them we weren’t going anywhere anyway.
