I don’t think contenders have similar top end talent at all. On any level. 1st options/2nd options etc. and when they face off you’ll see them outplay eachother. I think managing egos/chemistry is very important and that falls on the coach. I think getting good adjustments/rotations makes things easier and helps you win out where things are even but in the NBA rarely are things even in a 7 game series. Coaching will be like 8th thing that helps decide a series. Is there really a big difference between Jokic, Embiid, Steph, Giannis etc? Not in terms of rankings but in terms of how they'll actually perform? Yeah I think so. Different flaws/strengths as well and what wins out will have a big impact. Like I thought Embiid wasn't anything special game 1 and the Sixers won with ease .. not sure I'm confident the Nuggets can pull that off very often if Jokic does that. Than you toss in the 2nd options and how they'll perform. Like if Denver meets up with Boston in the finals what Murray are we getting? Can he match/out perform Brown? If we meet PHX in the finals how much will Jokic need to dominate and will it even matter if Booker/Durant are popping off and Murray can be that playoff Murray were all expecting? even someone like MPJ. If he regresses/elevates his game that's going to be a huge swing in terms of top end talent with the contenders. I'm a huge Murray fan and believe he'll elevate his game in the playoffs but there's no doubt on paper he's lacking compared to other 2nd options. I agree with you this season is "wide open" but I don't think it'll finish that way when things actually play out. Just feels that way right now. Certain teams will fall apart, guys will choke/underperform, certain players will elevate there games and when you look back in 3 months you'll realize it wasn't wide open at all lol

AD goes off the court with an arm injury screaming "I can't move my arm," then returns shortly showing no visible signs of discomfort.
Lakers got Mr Miyagi in the locker room doing his magic hands thing or what?

I thought Jacque Vaughn did a pretty creative job in terms of where the double would come from. But again...Embiid would just hit the open pass, they'd move the ball and make open 3s. The Nets just don't have the size or talent to combat that Philly team. Agreed on Murray. Come playoff time he typically plays like a legitimate #1 or #2 but in the regular season throughout his career he really hasn't been consistent enough.

Nvm, Lakers look pretty good with Reaves and Rui going off.
If Ja is okay, this series should go 7 like the SAC/GS series.

That's not creative. Doubling Embiid isn't something innovative or new and it's not something that's stopped him from scoring at times. It'll be how he deals with it. Also I didn't think he was impressive defensively and wasn't doing much else like hitting the glass. He also lucked out abit and was getting FT's like he does in the regular season which hasn't always been the case in the past. My point was tho that I'm not sure the Nuggets can win like that in the West. If Jokic is getting doubled he'll have to be aggressive in other areas or figure it out. Like I don't think Giannis/Jokic/Embiid will have an equal playoffs even tho there obviously very close in terms of "rankings". Someone's likely going to stand out/disappoint/elevate etc. If it's not them than it'll be a Durant/Booker/Fox/Davis etc. And that's a huge thing. Probably the biggest when we look back in 3 months on this playoffs. Murray giving you a legit 2nd option is game changing. If he can't do that than expectations have to be altered and it won't matter who's coaching this team.

I'm not going to name names but it was absolutely comical how people in the Denver media were picking the Grizzlies in 5 specifically because of how bad the Lakers played in the play-in game. Embarrassing.

In the Wolves series Murray is basically going to have to live in the mid-range. I assume Wolves will play drop and he's going to have to pull up and hit those shots. One of the issues with Murrays game is he's never really developed a floater. Takes more time to pull up.

He seems to struggle more when left wide open on midrange shots.

Murray is the guy to watch for sure. I feel like you kind of know what you're going to get from Jokic and MPJ. MPJ is going to make his 3s. Jokic is going to be the GOAT.
Is Murray going to be bubble Murray? Doubtful. Is Murray going to be a better version of himself in the playoffs than he is in the regular season? I think so.
I also think it's a really, really bad idea to waste Murray minutes with the bench. He's definitely going to stagger with them but it's a bad idea IMO. Pair him with Jokic 24/7.

Milwaukee is in MAJOR trouble if Giannis misses more than 1 game.

Morant goes down. Giannis goes down.
Really want to see a competitive series between these two matchups. Gonna be tough with these injuries.

Westbrook being well...Westbrook completely shifted the momentum of this Suns game. Clippers were hanging in there and then Russ just started to chuck.
Mind blowing how he's playing this many minutes.
