Jokic is leading the votes by a big margin. Out of 46 voters that casted their ballot, Jokic has 33 votes as #1, Embiid has 9 votes and Gianniss has 4 votes. Jokic needs 15 more votes and that's it

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KMzwRcilLDej0BWl7eYE_OYC9Tx9olI_Ptn-nHjKfpQ/edit#gid=643451732Joker is pretty consistently running 70-75% of total first place votes after each update, and about 1.5x as many total points as Embiid. He's got a really big points margin, even if you presume the missing 2nd place votes strongly favor Embiid. Unless the remaining unannounced votes are *very* different from what we've seen so far, like mostly leaving Jokic off entirely, he should take the award by a substantial margin.

Total: Jokic - 377 Embiid - 256 Giannis - 209
Edit: another for Jokic as I typed it

As expected. Now it's on the FO and the owners to do a little bit more to support the generational talent

It's up to Murray to stay healthy tbh..
Also winning rings is more dificult than winning MVPs. Ask Dirk and Nash

Jokic couldn't be denied, even though the entire media started campaigning on Embiid's behalf as early as November. He's just that much better than the second best guy (and the second best guy is Giannis, not Embiid).

I hope that this benefits the fans by keeping pressure on ownership to go all in and spend where necessary.
Jokic is an all-time great. Its pretty crazy.

Happy for Jokic and our fanbase...hopefully we will be focusing on winning the NBA finals in 2023 and less on Jokic get his 3rd straight MVP

Jokic is a winner! And thanks to him, I’m a winner with a bet I placed online for him to win the MVP award. I made the bet on February 20th at odds of +290 (almost 3 to 1 odds)! It was during the peak of Embiid hype, and I just felt Joker’s chances were being underrated at the time.
Now, let’s hope individual success morphs into being more team success in the season(s) to come.
