Giannis out again tonight. 16 games missed.
This isn't even a debate anymore. Jokic is the only candidate who shows up to work.

If racist Kendrick Perkins votes for Jokic for MVP -- he will be partially forgiven

Embiid now -105 and Jokic +110 on DraftKings. It’s a tossup.

If Jokic is not getting his 3rd MVP this year I will 100% quit on the NBA.

What’s Embiid’s most favourite search engine?
DuckDuckGo

The ESPN shows are all downplaying it still.
Kornheiser and Wilbon both said Giannis should win it, everybody on Around the Horn said last night didn't matter and it's a toss up, NBA Today all basically said toss-up as well.

They should be ashamed of themselves. Straw poll comes out this week and Joker will dominate. I think Embiid will get more 3rd place votes than he otherwise would have had he not missed the game.

We saw last year that ESPN takes mean less than our takes here which is sad for espn. Last year Jokic buried Giannis and Embiid for the mvp and according to espn Jokic was only third. Betting companies are more competent than espn and they're changing the odds every hour to Jokic's advantage. The biggest switch will happen on Friday when kia mvp brings Jokic to #1 and when the last straw poll comes out which will show total Jokic's dominance. Voters are not stupid. Last night buried Embiid

Embiid is playing tonight against Dallas, and his team is losing.
Thus proving the absence in Denver was a duck by playing in the very next game.
Jokic needs to play as long as he feels good, as he can easily get to 72-73 games played by only missing one or two. In other meaningless games he plays, he could be kept to 30 minutes or less.
The historic significance of having a b2b2b MVP on this franchise and in this region of the country should not be lost on anyone. So much better than b2b.

You're one of the rare ones on this board and from the Denver region in general that is saying this. This award is almost as much important for Denver and the region as it's for Jokic and Jokic deserved the help in every possible way. Look at Philly and support that their coward is getting from them

Even Giannis is still on the floor (over 32 mins, against Pacers), tanking team, missing all starters and Bucks leading by over 20 points. Every team is helping stat padding of their mvp candidate except Denver.

Yeah honestly I didn't care about the 3rd MVP because it just felt impossible. We've seen so many times voter fatigue set in and we still likely could. If Jokic never wins a ring it'll for sure be a thing but regardless getting to watch a 3x MVP night in and night out is a pretty special thing for a fan and one we'll never likely see again as Nugget fans. Obviously a ring is far more important but at this point I care about Jokic getting it.
Just not Embiid. I won't complain if Giannis gets it. IMO he's the only player in the league that has an argument above Jokic(simply due to defense/today's era of defensive versatility). He's missed alot of games and IMO Jokic is the obvious MVP but he's the one guy that I could atleast understand. If they give it to Embiid it'll be annoying as f**k.
