We shouldn't be re-upping Millsap. It's just damn frustrating.
Plumlee, Barton have been ass, Millsap has been playing way below his season average.
It stems back further. Chandler, Foye, Hickson, Faried, Nelson etc were incredibly disappointing in the games we needed to win to make the POs the previous seasons.
Why do the vets we have never step up when we need them to?

Why do the vets we have never step up when we need them to? Lets see what Millsap does in Game 7 before writing him off. He's done some good things he's just been very bad on the glass. He's way small compared to Aldridge/Poetl. I'm more disappointed that he hasn't had a big effect defensively in this series. He's been pretty good offensively for the most part. However...and I said this before the season even started. Trading Plumlee in the summer for literally nothing (would be an upgrade) and declining Millsaps option puts us at roughly 76-77M. Cap is 109. We'd have 30+ aka a max slot. That 100% needs to be looked into way before we just bring Millsap back. Do I think we can get a big name free agent? No. Do I think we should try? Absolutely. Best case scenario is you land a max guy (Klay), sign Millsap to a 2 year deal on the MLE and then you pick between Murray/Harris long-term as we know the Kroenkes aren't paying a big tax bill.

AD is still something I'd try to push for.
We've seen that the Nuggets are basically unstoppable when one of Murray, Harris etc. can score in the high 20s in points at an efficient rate. Each game is basically us hoping someone can play second fiddle to Jokic

Jesus Christ.
Let me calmly walk into a panicked fire and yell "THEATER."
Reasons to chill out:
1. FRAUDSTERS: We're the 8th youngest playoff team ever. We got matched up with Pop, which was about the meanest first-round matchup the "ethos" could give to our young team. We have taken him 7 games. Believe me - the national media has given a ton of respect to our young team. No one will be calling us frauds next year.
2. EXPERIENCE: Be happy that our young guys are even getting this experience. This is what the playoffs this year were about. If it's our destiny to not advance this year, then be grateful that our guys got to game 7 against Pop - few young teams get that far. Also - hats off to Jokic and Murray for bringing it tonight - good sign for the future.
Making sense of tonight:
1. CIRCUS SHOTS: Almost every Spurs circus-shot went in. Just crazy. The defense was excellent on many sequences. White had multiple shots that bounced on the rim and went in.
2. OUR SHOTS: Our guys couldn't shoot. It was like a cylinder was on our hoop at all times. Multiple layups and shots within a few feet bricked.
3. DIRTY PLAY: There was a sympathetic whistle for the Spurs, for sure.
WHY WE WIN GAME 7 - onto some optimism:
1. ALTITUDE: The Spurs haven't been able to post more than 105 points in the Pepsi Center. In every home game, their legs have run out by quarter four. Game 7 is no exception. Having home-court, game 7, in Denver, against an aging SA on one day of rest (after LMA and DD are 30+ plus in SA?)- biggest home court advantage of the playoffs. We will basically be playing with 5.5 guys on the floor in quarter four of game 7, versus their five. As long as the score is tied going into the fourth (or close) then we win - simple as that.
2. NERVES: With the exception of Murray and Jokic, the rest of our team was clearly nervous in this closeout game. It's good experience. Blame all the people you want - but ultimately - we just s**t the bed tonight. No matter - it's good that our guys got this experience tonight. Getting over the nerves of tonight will not only assist us in closing out the Spurs on Saturday, it'll also help us in game 4 of the second round when Lillard and co are sent off by us to "have a good summer."
You pussies really need to man the f**k-up and stop hosting a f***ing therapy group here.
We got this.
GO NUGGETS!!!

Plumlee and Barton shouldn’t be playing in game 7. I think we’re gonna lose no matter who plays.
Every player we traded for has been garbage and making nearly 30 mil. I hope TC is seriously considering going to the Wizards, he hurt us big time with those trades and contracts.

"Relax guys we are winning game 7." "I am so sure we will win game 7." Thats called being optimistic. And I have all the right reasons to be optimistic. We just need to play Nuggets basketball

This will be the sixth time the 2nd and 7th ranked teams play a game 7 - the two-seed won the previous five.

I haven't watched the game yet. From 2 to 4:30 in the morning it's not convenient when you work... So I don't have all the frustration that you got from watching the game, and that I probably would also have. But then maybe it's easier for me to keep some perspective. I had prepared myself for the loss. Remember that many here thought we wouldn't even win one in San Antonio in this series. Indeed a win last night would have made me so proud, it would have sent a message to the league that we are for real, the narrative would have been that after 7 quarters of learning, we figured the playoffs out. But it can't be that easy ! How many champions had to suffer and overcome huge disappointment before getting success ? And it's not time already to send messages to the league, it's just our ego of fan that wishes that. Most of us agreed before the playoffs that the main goal for this postseason was to acquire as much experience as possible. Well you got served ! I personally thought that if a sweep or a 4-1 loss would be better, any better result would make the season a success, so I consider that we're now in the bonus. This series also give plenty of information to the front office on how to adjust, refine the squad in the future, in order to take the next step.
Updated experience recap: 2nd youngest team in the league and 8th all-time to make the playoffs ✔ 1st game in the playoffs, with butterflies in the stomach ✔ 1st win in the playoffs, after being close to the edge ✔ 1st road win in the playoffs (and a big one!) ✔ 1st blowout win in the playoffs ✔ 1st closeout game in the playoffs ✔ 1st game 7 in the playoffs ✔
Even if I can't update sunday with "first 2nd round participation" I'll be sad of course but I'll eventually make peace with it. Enjoy the ride my friends.

For all these years of Malone coaching, he has been a big enigma for me and he still is. I got emotionally exausted last night, couldn't even been mad, i got indifferent at one point during the 4th quarter which is even worse. How can he coach like a genious in game 4 and 5, make every move before, during and after game perfect and then just completely lost it in few minutes last night. How many assistant coaches does he have on that bench? A blind man, not a basketball coach could see that "ship was on fire" to end the 3rd and that Barton/Plum were unplayable, yet he decided to go with the same unit to start the 4th and even then after another meltdown by that unit he keeps Barton in and Craig on the bench.
There is no word to desribe what he did other than stubbornness and being "romantic/in love/faitful" to a fault. He showed me that he has balls this season, that he can make a tough move in order to do the right thing for his team, he obviously have high IQ and eyes to see what is going wrong and how to adjust, problem is that bad timing and his emotions and stubbornness are the only things that is holding him of doing tough moves at the right time during the game.
At the end, only Mills was shooting under 50% from the field last night, SAS played unreal game on offense and i am quite sure that that kind of shooting will not going to be a case on Saturday. What scares me is Millsap production on D because we can't affort to have our best player on that end to be one of the worst in this series from the starters. Somehow i think that Barton and Plum will have a major role in Saturday and that they will be huge in that game. Why? Call me crazy but i believe that because in big moments and biggest games people that have low IQ and that always have confidence in themselfs do not fall under the pressure and play loose.
So i am calling it first here. We are winning game 7 and Plum/Barton will have a HUGE part of that W. (No sarcasm)

If these guys can't win a Game 7 at home against an inferior team, it wasn't meant to be.
That would mean with four home games, you split at home. Not gonna work.
My biggest concern is a repeat of game one. Nuggets come out nervous, shots don't fall, Spurs are steady and used to this, and the Spurs steal the win.
Then we get all the young team excuses.

I think something is wrong in your first sentence. You're right about the risk of game 1 repeating. That will tell how fast they learn !

flo i don't see anything wrong in his first sentence. SAS is an inferior team, only position that they are not is that old man on their bench.

I had put "can" instead of "can't", so he was right.

He forgot a negative. And I totally agree, if we can't win that game we don't belong in the 2nd round.
