That's what the Nuggets coach said. Why would biased fans say different if the other team's coach thinks a low shot every game is just normal behavior.

Barton and Plumlee unplayable. Barton isn't unplayable, but he didn't have it in this game and they could have really used game 5 Barton in this one. Morris and Beasley looked somewhat intimidated by the moment. This was one of those games that makes me think the Nuggets have a ceiling until they have better overall size/length. The Spurs were just shooting over the Nuggets' defenders. Those shots will always be there until the Nuggets have more size/length in its rotation and the Nuggets can't do anything other than hope they don't go in. The lack of a legit backup PF was a big problem in this game. I don't know what has happened to Plumlee. I can sympathize if he's dealing with an injury, but I don't see why that should lead him to so much gambling for steals he almost never gets and leave his feet on so many shot fakes. Jokic is certainly carrying his weight. I hope he gets a lot more help in game 7. I think the Spurs' game plan will be to relentlessly attack the paint and try to draw fouls. I think Popovich knows that visiting teams rarely shoot jumpers well over the course of entire games in Denver.

I'm completely done with Malone after tonight. Don't care if we win Game 7. He showed me all I needed to see tonight. Dude gave away an extremely winnable closeout game to force a Game 7. I didn't see it that way. I think Jokic played as much as he realistically could. Murray has been playing heavy minutes and getting banged up. Millsap is 34 and the quality of his play has been declining as his minutes have increased. Harris' lack of size was getting exposed more on the defensive end in this game and he wasn't very productive on offense in the 2nd half. I was hoping for Barton to give the Nuggets a lift in the 2nd half as nothing offensively was clicking other than the Jokic/Murray P&R action and they were getting tired. They needed someone else to help with shot creation. DeRozan and Aldridge were the only Spurs players to play more than 30 minutes while all 5 Nuggets starters were at 33+ minutes. You have to get some production from the bench. The Nuggets still likely lose this game if all 5 starters played 40 minutes, and then they'd be in more trouble on Saturday. As it was, I thought Malone should have pulled Jokic a couple of minutes earlier as it appeared pretty obvious this game was lost. The Spurs just hit a lot of shots (which was my concern about this matchup before the series began). Their 57% shooting wasn't a result of "rotation" decisions and the Nuggets didn't have anyone hitting enough from outside to get to 120. The Spurs have high percentage shooters and some guys were overdue to have good games. Maybe I jinxed it by commenting here that Gay had been horrible and Forbes didn't appear to be a guy who should be starting playoff games. On to game 7. Its been a good series and nothing about the Nuggets' effort so far has been embarrassing. The bench was very weak tonight but I feel confident that playing the starters 40+ minutes each would not have been a winning solution.

And losing Game 7 will suck. Another whole offseason of "Nuggets are frauds" and hearing idiots like Shaq/Kenny compare Jokics passing to Brad Dougherty lmao. I wanted to break my TV before. Such clowns. So what you are really mad about is that the Nuggets don't bring TV ratings, so TV people have no reason to promote them. Got it.

The bench was very weak tonight but I feel confident that playing the starters 40+ minutes each would not have been a winning solution. This is the difference between a guy like Malone and a guy like Stotts. Portland has a closeout game and Lillard plays the entire 1st half and plays 45 minutes. This in a home game up 3-1. Jokic sits with 1 minute left in the 3Q, sits through the TV timeout and then sits after another Malone timeout. In a road closeout game down 5 entering the 4Q where if you lose you take your 8th youngest playoff team in history and put them in a Game 7 where all of the pressure is on them. Just a brilliant plan. Malone didn't show any killer instinct tonight. But he lets Jokic play in garbage time for whatever reason. Just made no sense whatsoever. Can't wait to see Plumlee back on the floor in Game 7 gambling and not converting steals, being out of position on every single defensive possession and throwing sky hooks at the hoop. Going to be awesome.

I'd more so be mad at the fact that everyone who called the Nuggets playoff frauds would be justified. You lose in the first round as a 2 seed you're a fraud. You lose 2 home games including a Game 7 at home you're a fraud. No excuses to be made even though Tim and Malone will jump through hoops to point out the youth and inexperience of this team.

To add to Ring’s rant, TV timeouts during playoffs on national TV are at least three minutes long, a minute or so longer than locally televised regular season games. Malone seems unaware that players get extra rest time from that.
The only reason Malone could have had to keep Jokic in during garbage time was to allow him to get that 10th assist for a 40-point triple double. He was apparently more concerned about individual statistical achievement than about Jokic getting hurt in that time. And then failing to get the TD, Malone finally had the good sense to remove him. But then he lets Murray play until 1 minute was remaining, and he was clearly limping! So stupid.

IMHO, the biggest issue is Millsap is absolutely glued to the floor, Plum's choking and Barton looks like half the player he was before the injury. You basically lose 3 of your top 8-9 players, you can't expect the coach to be able to fix it. We need those 3 to dig down and find something for game 7. If Millsap has another empty stat line and Barton/Plumlee play like chickens with their heads cut off, the offseason is 48 minutes away.

We shouldn't be running more than an 8 man rotation for a Game 7. One of Barton/Plumlee shouldn't see the floor. And the other should get less than 10 minutes. This is win or go home now. Millsap and Jokic HAVE to play 40 minutes on Saturday. Same with Gary.
