Christofascism and fascism in general is a very intoxicating drug for people who want simple explanations for their lives and simple solutions to complex problems. Itās why democracy hasnāt endured anywhere in the world for 200 years, except ourās due to the genius of our founding fathers and the strength of the Constitution. Turns out even with that, authoritarianism is the default governance model for most societies, and now our destination. People want to be ruled, and want order even at the expense of their freedom. |

Gaza played a very minor role in tonightās results. Turns out demagoguery and fascist talk works on people. And itās damn hard for a woman of color from California to get votes in the interior and southern parts of our country. Harris tried to run as (traditional) GOP Lite. And her audience was overwhelmingly women and nonwhite voters. Look at her rally audiences and the convention. White men didnāt connect with her. White women probably didnāt turn out enough. And folks of all persuasions werenāt thrilled with her prancing around with Liz Cheney. Many,many reasons for the loss, but Gaza would be lower part of top 10, IMO. |

I said the "low information undecided voter" you were depending on are notoriously unreliable and fickle. I told you she needed the same people that knocked on doors for Bernie Sanders to knock on doors for her because they're f***ing Democrats, and Gaza is a major issue for them, if not the major issue.
