let's go Oil
the Nuggets are the Oilers spirit animal so they don't do stress-free wins. I'm anticipating the Stars to hit us with everything but the kitchen sink in the second period.

Outlaws were up 10-8 late in the 3rd quarter in their return after 3 years. Then they gave up 8 in a row, scored 1 in garbage time, and lost 16-11. Absolutely atrocious goaltending.
The players are getting paid a lot more than they were in the old league and they're getting health insurance so that's good, but everything else about this league is worse than the old MLL so far. Outlaws only get 2 home games instead of 7, they're playing at DU instead of Mile High, the uniforms aren't as cool as the old ones, ticket prices are exponentially higher, and you have to pay to watch a game between two road teams in your home market whether you want to or not. I have no idea how this league draws so much better on TV than the old league did, and even better than the much more established indoor league.
But at least the team is back. Game 2 is Friday.

I love Skinner but he's due to let an easy one through.

Yessir. Oil back in the finals. just copy and paste the "Oilers have no shot" takes from the WCF and apply it to the finals.
time to bring the cup home. again.
there's absolutely nothing greater than making Vancouver and Calgary begrudgingly root for the Oilers.

I am physically incapable of rooting for the Oilers, Celtics, or Mavericks (or Stars).
I don't like the Panthers, but I can stomach the thought of them getting a Cup.

I'm happy for my fellow Nugg-Brothers cheering for the Oilers. I would normally cheer for Miami (Florida has been good to me) - but go Oilers!

I wonder how many in Denver know that PT's Stripclub on West Evans is where rock music began in Denver. It was so long ago I was too young to have been there experiencing it. Hendrix, Joplin, the Doors, etc. Then known as The Family Dog. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Family_Dog_Denver

I had no idea it was ever anything other than a strip club.

Check out the link to see who performed there. Lots of amazing talent. Strikes me as weird that the original building is still standing and hasn't been labeled as historic.
My history started at Mammoth Gardens now The Fillmore on Colfax. Lots of great groups played there as well.
