I agree anything less than a trip to the western finals is a dissapointment with the way the last couple months have gone. I love this team. I'm growing out a playoff beard that my wife hates and even with her avoiding me I'm not getting rid of it. I'm riding this puppy out and concentrating on very little else but the nuggets. As soon as a game ends Im counting down to the next. I have no idea what I will do after tonight waiting until saturday. These playoffs may end in me getting fired and divorced but i've never been a happier fan. im in the same boat. my beard is f***ing ridiculous right now. ive obviously never had a playoff beard last so long. usually nuggets playoff beards go pretty fast. but damn, my girl is ok with it but my boss might make me shave any minute now. might have to quit... At least it sounds like your beard is consistent, I have dark hair completely covering my chin, a blonde mustache, one sideburn growing a lot longer than the other, and patches of blonde sporadically on my cheek. The bad part is I dont think it's going to get better, my face is still like a 12 year olds it just wasnt meant for a beard and I look homeless instead of bearded.

I should lose a finger for the AI slip up. UGH.
Kenny apologized to the Nuggets. He said something like: I didn't think you were that good, I didn't think you got it on both ends of the floor. I think you do now.
Barkley looked like he was trying to figure out a way the Mavs could stay in the series and then said the Nuggets were the best team in the west right now by far.
When TNT gives us respect, you know a new day has come. . .

troys just dreaming about the past, and what could have been. Yeah, a round one playoff exit with Nene and Melo going nuts and AI shooting us out of the game. Again, I should lose a finger, I'll pray the board can forgive my idiocy on that one.

It's funny watching Kenny to continue to apologize to Chauncey and the Nuggets for underestimating them from the first day we made the trade.

I should lose a finger for the AI slip up. UGH. lucky it came during a good post. we'll let it slide. funny how mavs did everything right and came up double digit points short. we are simply superior.

The worst part is my dad has a totally normal beard, so I'm pretty sure the man I've been calling dad my whole 29 years on earth is not really my dad. My mom's a s**t.

Randomest part of the nuggets game was I walked in the same time as Kiki's wife. Kind of weird she'd be there huh?

Melo should stop with the 3's. 1-8? I cant remember the last time he took that many. There weren't a lot of shots for Melo out there tonight. Dallas was extending their double team outside the 3 pt line. And they played a lot of zone with smaller players surrounding Melo. I'm not sure he got more than 4-5 half-court touches in the middle quarters. Plus, he was giving us very good energy on the other end much of the night but did seem zapped.

Hopefully Melo recovers and heals up over this 3 day break. I think he could have a great series. I could see him dominating this series moreso than he's done so far.
Still I think we need to be more creative against Dirk.

I was completely taken aback by the TNT postgame show... and have been pretty shocked listening to the color guys during the broadcasts so far this series. Hubie Brown, in Game 1, spoke more intelligently about the Nuggets than all other national broadcasters combined for the last 10 years at least. PJ sounded like he learned from Hubie last night.
Kenny Smith actually said, "I have to apologize to George Karl, I had no idea the Nuggets were this good." Well, maybe try watching their games every now and then, being that you're paid to talk about basketball.
Charles said that if he had to pick a team, right now, to come out of the West, he'd pick Denver. Kenny agreed that they're playing better than anyone else in the league right now.
I heard it a lot last night, then again on ESPN this morning... that the Nuggets spark off one big play, and they play well with the lead. I think that's called KILLER INSTINCT.
Just gonna throw this out there (this was also true after Game 1)... the Nuggets are closer to the Championship than any other team in the league... 10 wins to go. They can win the Title by playing .526 basketball, the Lakers need to play .600.

The Altitude post game guys are buzzed. It's so obvious. Am I missing something, because Altitude has not been broadcasting the games in the second round at all...and I have not seen any postgame crap from them either??

Here is the thing about that front runner tag: Don't you have to be pretty good to get to be a front runner? I think by front runner, what they really mean is they have a killer instinct (as tydru said) and that they close out strong.
Will the Nuggets blow a 10 point lead here and there? Sure they will. Will they get down by 10 or 15 every now and again? Sure they will. They certainly weren't front running when Dallas took a 9 point lead in the first quarter on Sunday.
What the Nuggets do is fight back, stay in the game, wear you down and then when they smell blood in the late third, early fourth. . . they slaughter you. I thought we'd beat Dallas from day one, but I didn't think we'd blow them out more than once in the seven games. If you'd told me all of the factors Dallas would have in its favor last night, I'd have said that was the recipe for disaster. Instead they smelled blood in the fourth and blitzed them again.
Man, I love this team. (I know corona has a thread on it, and he's dead on)
