I wanted Jaylen Clark for obvious reasons.

Updated season averages. Only Pickett has played since the last update. His numbers are regressing towards his averages from last season, and in the case of assists, steals, and turnovers they're worse. But his scoring, rebounding, and shooting splits are all still up slightly.
Jalen Pickett (6 games): 21.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.5 blocks, 3.3 turnovers, 1.8 fouls, 48.0% FG, 37.1% 3PT, 78.9% FT
PJ Hall (2 games): 20.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.5 blocks, 2.0 turnovers, 5.5 fouls, 44.8% FG, 45.5% 3PT, 80.0% FT
Spencer Jones (2 games, but left his second game with an injury after 6 minutes): 10.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.5 blocks, 1.0 turnovers, 2.5 fouls, 66.7% FG, 60.0% 3PT, 100.0% FT

I'm guessing Spencer Jones isn't hurt too badly since he's still with Grand Rapids. I think if he were hurt badly he'd be back in Denver rehabbing with Vlatko and DaRon rather than travelling with the Gold.

Nice to see Hall making some 3's. That's gonna be huge for him. If he's a decent shooter and pretty consistent with it, he can play a similar role as a guy like Cancar.
Just has to learn how to defend without fouling.

Just has to learn how to defend without fouling. He's way bigger than Vlatko -- listed at 6'10" and 245. He needs to adjust to NBA physicality for sure, though. Defending without fouling, rebounding, boxing out. Those are the areas that he has been limited in so far, but to be fair he hasn't played much at all yet.

Tomorrow's game probably won't be worth watching, but it'll be on ESPN+ at 4:00 PM Denver time.
They're playing Indiana and the Pacers are so injured that they don't have any NBA assignment or two-way guys down in the G-League right now.
According to the Nugs injury report today Hall, Tyson, and Alexander are still with the Nuggets so unless Spencer Jones returns from injury it'll probably just be Pickett as the sole NBA rep on either squad.

I missed the first half but Spencer Jones is playing tonight. He had 5 points in 8 minutes off the bench; 1 rebound, 1 assist, 2/2 FG, 1/1 3PT, +10

Looks like the Pacers did send one two-way down for the game: Tristen Newton has 10/2/4/1/1 for them. They also have Jahlil Okafor. Surprised to see him.

The Gold injury report today at least finally confirmed it was a lower back injury for Jones.
Pickett has 18 points on 8/15 shooting, Gold up 7 in the 3rd.

Missed catch and shoot 3 for Jones but the Gold got the rebound and another player hit the 3

Really nice defensive possession for Jones; covered his man in the post, came out for a double to make a guy pick up his dribble, recovered in time to deny the entry pass.

Jones seems to be on a minutes restriction. They keep pulling him after exact 4 minute increments.

Pickett penetrates, draws 3 defenders, makes a smooth pass in between them for an easy layup. Looks very in control out there, blocked a shot as I was typing this

Pickett just nearly had the ball stripped in the back court but he stuck with it and had an ugly adventure that ended in a nice runner off the glass for 2.

Looks like Jones might be hurt again, he's off in the background talking to the trainers.

Jones back in, just knocked a ball loose and dove on it to force a jump ball
