Whether it's Saric, Zeke, or DJ somebody has to give us 8-12 minutes a night for the bulk of the regular season. And then we go to Gordon as 2C in the playoffs, like the last several years. EDIT: Jay Huff 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 blocks, 1 steal in 14 minutes tonight. Sigh. |

Huff looks just an awful miss, completely devastating. Memphis ethos of bringing guys in and having them earn their deals has hit them 3 home runs recently. Vince gg and huff. Where as Denver locked in the deals with tyson and Pickett so they didn't really have the room for huff Getting no value from or for hartenstein huff and vando hurts Booth really used up a lot of picks on tyson pickett Holmes. Now Denver has very few options. |

Thank you. Last I saw him he was admonishing me for begging CB to take the 3 pointers he turned down in the first few games. Then he was claiming Braun sucked at shooting. Oh, Game will reappear, but probably only after a 3-game losing streak, or after losing 4 out of 5. His agenda was clear. A malcontent fan who didn’t want to give this “Project Dynasty” plan any time to gel. Oh, Booth has made many mistakes. But he’s also done us a lot of good. CB, PWat, and Straw are 3 examples. Going from RJ to Russ appears to be another one. He whiffed on Saric so far. He whiffed on Pickett, especially giving him a standard NBA contract. Tyson isn’t very good. The Zeke extension is an albatross right now. But Murray is getting back to his old form, MPJ has been good for 10 days, and we are winning without AG at the moment (perhaps the Ewing Effect). There is no cause for Booth to be fired at all this season. He was blowing smoke up our asses. |

The most likely scenario is he’s extended, Jokic and this team overachieves the next couple seasons, we get into the WC Finals or NBA Finals again, maybe win another chip. And then Booth is poached by another team that will pay him more than KSE, and he goes the route of Masai and TC and walks. Also, it appears Booth struck gold with picks in the late first round on CB, PW, and JS. That is extremely hard to do. |

I get booth has done some great things but hes also just not very good at negotiating contracts and has poor PR skills. We need a professional GM who understands the cap and the league and knows how to build a roster. Booth has no idea what hes doing.
can you imagine this franchise with a real GM?

Gave another three picks to draft a guy that every one knew we wanted, and resulted in phx getting our picks and perhaps getting the steal of the draft in Ryan Dunn. He made Zeke our 5th highest paid Nugget. With the financial situation this team is in, we have to make smart moves on the margins and he’s failed miserably the past two seasons in my estimation. Sure, if Strawther takes a jump this season, Peyton becomes a playoff rotation guy and Braun continues his torrid pace…it might still be ok. But he’s created a situation where we absolutely need all of those guys to hit big. |

hard not to like the way the team is playing. Murray with the +28 in his return. Good stuff.
It's so early days though. I like that we're getting to the line now and I like the pace. But we'll see. Still too many questions left to be answered.

Remember TC traded draft pick Donovan Mitchell in a play for Anunobi? Ended up with Lyles and Lydon? Not making excuses for Booth, but firing him would never guarantee that the next GM doesn’t make more and worse mistakes than handing a player option to RJ and signing Saric, which hasn’t totally played out yet. The Zeke extension appears terrible, but there are scores of contracts in the league that are overpays. Booth will stay, that just a fact. The extension is coming, as we’ve read. Team is playing well at the moment. His picks are developing in the rotation right now. This reminds me of when folks screamed to FIRE MALONE, within the same year that he won a championship. Relax. |

Game thread might be late again tomorrow as the Dallas injury report is long. Dallas Morning News says Luka is questionable while Kleber, Washington, and Lively are doubtful. Official report the team put out marks all four questionable, with Exum out. We'll know more after shootaround tomorrow I'm sure.
Nugs just have Vlatko, AG, and Holmes all listed as out so far. We'll see if they make any moves to send anyone down to Grand Rapids.
