Tyson 0/6 from the field, opposition shot 50000% against him (my estimate) He and Pickett, who didn’t even play tonight, need to go. We need those roster spots for someone like Lonnie Walker or Justin Holiday. Booth is 3 for 5. Three hits with Straw, CB, and PWat. Two misses with HT and JP.

As I've said all preseason long, Vlatko is 10 and 11-13 are Zeke, DJ, and Trey depending on context. Trey just out of necessity, I wouldn't say he's had a particularly impressive preseason. Yeah, but is he a LEGIT 10-12th type of guy? I see signs he’s making progress, personally. lol no, don't do this to yourself again man. Charlie Brown utterly convinced Lucy won't pull the football back at the last second this time

Charlie Brown utterly convinced Lucy won't pull the football back at the last second this time 10-12th guys aren’t good players, but they are competent in a role to relieve the rotation players or slot in rotation in case of injury. Could Zeke at 23 get there? Maybe not with Nuggets due to lack of confidence (by the coach and by Zeke himself). Get him on the Hornets and he might be good enough.

We don't have enough shooting or rebounding or depth. Does not look good. Trying not to overreact to a preseason game…but it’s concerning that phoenix’s offense looks organized regardless how far down the end of the bench they go. Our starters looked sloppy and our bench as clunky as ever. I predict a slow start to this season, but hopefully we find something. Otherwise we need a significant trade to find shooting and defense.

I’m kind of concerned about Murray and why he looked so bad in first half, and didn’t even play in second half. Is he just always gonna be up and down, and a slow starter? It appears so.

Murray has done absolutely nothing since the end of the regular season to not have people panicking. Awful in the playoffs, awful in the Olympics and now awful in the preseason.

Luckily, he was a healthy scratch in second half, per DNVR postgame pod. I was worried he has a physical condition. But they say he’s okay. We have to be patient and wait for the winter flurries. He, and our team, is likely to start slow.

I don't care at all about anything that's happening right now tbh. I'm not even watching the games. Just stay healthy. If Murray shits the bed Game 1, I will be talking about it. Guy is my biggest concern on this team right now.

A 3/5 strike rate on guys who can contribute on a contender with mid-late 1st rounders is amazing. It's just been overshadowed by the 4yr contracts given to a couple of 2nd rnders which was absolutely unnecessary. If those two roster spots could go to a couple of vet min guys like Holiday this roster would look rock solid.

Thoughts from the Third Deck (TM):
- I feel good about approximately 8 of our top 9 guys, with the caveat that Jamal still doesn't look good but I have faith in him bouncing back and not just being this guy forever. The rest of the starters looked like they were sleepwalking but also like they're really good basketball players, and Brodie / Strawther were solid, and PWat I have no real worries about if he's not trying to be the biggest guy off the bench.
- Not really impressed by Saric this outing. He's kind of the X factor where, if he's a genuinely OK big (which he has been in the past), the bench is fine and we don't have to run Jokic/AG into the ground, and if he sucks donkey bawlz, then we either lose extra games or we exhaust our starting bigs. Really hope to see him look decent by the end of the postseason.
- Zeke ... didn't suck??? ... which I know is a thing he has been capable of in the past, but I was still surprised that his shooting stroke looked good (regardless of the results which were also good, he just looked like he knew how to shoot the ball again) and he wasn't getting punkd on the glass.
- Suns' scrubs hit a ton of heavily contested 3s, like, "guy in your lap" 3s that you maybe expect Steph to hit at that rate but you don't expect anyone else to be anywhere close. Can't really complain about most of the ones where Strawther or CB were the nearest defender. The only non-big I thought just wasn't contesting 3s how he should was Tyson, who looks like he lacks the strength, speed, and balance to play at this level. Dude should be in the gym doing core strength training and balance training all the time.
- I still like Monte Morris and miss him. Dude would be such an asset to this team.
